Bath houses can be a nightmare, people drinking and yelling all hours of the night, roads to camper were horrible! Sewage leaks near our site. Had mosquitos galore due to the pond of sewer in the lots in our area. Miskept lots. People have all kinds of trash and vehicles parked up all year round on their lots.

Close to one of worst campgrounds we have stayed in. Workers were very nice and friendly. It is an established campground, but appeared like a new one. We were not given any information about it, other than a map showing how to find our site at checkin. A bit of newly paved road, but other roads were dirt with excessive holes and some craters that should have been filled. Numerous speed bumps, but with the road conditions these aren't needed. We had rain for 2 days and our site and most others were flooded which made it hard to do things that you would want to do at the site. Water was so deep, I was unable to dump there and had to travel home and dump at our home. It was also rather difficult to get into our compartments to get out or put away things because of the water depth. We didn't use the pool, but it did appear to be good. I previously stayed at another place that was just a tad worse than this place. I definitely wouldn't reccomend this place to another camper. It needs much work.

The campground is full of permanent campers, and there are very few that are just coming in for vacation. The campground is very large and not a place that you can just let your kids roam and have fun. It's a lot of wooded roads with trees very close on the sides and the entire road is curves and full of pot holes. The speed limit is 10, but you're lucky if you can go that fast. It takes 20 minutes to get to your campsite you have to drive so slow. The water and electric hook ups are not close... Read More

The water and electric hook ups are not close enough for you reach because the lots are full of oversized trees...so bring a long hose and extension cord. If it's calling for rain plan on everything turning to mud.

My family and I stayed at Holly Lakes Campsites in June 2018. The only good thing about Holly Lakes Campsites is it has sewer hookups and numerous pull-through campsites. Upon entering Holly Lakes Campsites with your RV, it may be challenging for you to get to your campsite. If you have a RV larger than 25 feet, you may have difficulties driving to your campsite and as well as exiting your campsite. The roads are poorly marked and are extremely tight with lots of trees. If you have a RV larger than 25 feet, you may have difficulties driving to your campsite and as well as exiting your campsite. The roads are poorly marked and are extremely tight with lots of trees. As for leaving Holly Lake Campsites with your RV, John J. Williams Highway, Route 24, is the main road from Millsboro to Rehoboth Beach and making a left onto John J. Williams Highway on the weekends, you may find it exceedingly risky. As for our campsite, it was not impressive. It was covered with leaves and trash everywhere. Fortunately, we had patio mats, tarps, trash bags and a rake. One of the reasons we selected our original campsite was the location of our campsite to the pool. During registration at the Holly Lake Campsites' office, I was told they had moved us because management wanted us to have a "pleasant and enjoyable stay" since we were first timers and this other campsite was better. Not true. Our original reserved campsite had a "full season" resident occupying it. The campsite we were finally assigned was not near the pool but was very quiet because our campsite was surrounded by "full season" residents and fortunately for us no one was around. The pool area was nice and the kids did enjoy the pool. Also, Holly Lakes Campsites does not have cable. Good Sam's rating for Holly Lake Campsites is a 7/8/8. There is no way Holly Lake Campsites is above a 5/5/5 at best. In fact, in my opinion the facility rating should be around a 2. It appears Holly Lake Campsites has majority "full season" residents and it also appears there is no upkeep policy for "full season" campsites or RVs. Numerous "full season" resident campsites looked like they had been abandoned, used for storage, run down, dirty, awnings collapsing, and some even had boats stored next to them.
