We stayed in one of their large pull through sites which had been recently paved, has a concrete patio with a BBQ,, table and 4 chairs. We enjoyed the large heated pool and two large hot tubs. Did not get a chance to play water vollyball s there was too much else to do. Outside entertainment on Tuesday, cards and dominoes during the week as well a square and round dancing. During the day we had to choose between Pool, Tennis, Horseshoes, Shuffleboard, painting classed, stained glass classes, golf (9 hole in park) and a great wood shop. There were two laundry rooms.(air conditioned) and three buildings with showers to choose from. None were new but well maintained with lots of hot water. Front street is busy at times but there was a HEB almost across the street, Feldman's Liquor, CVS Pharmacy and several restaurants within a block and lots of other shopping and restaurants in the immediate area.

We have looked at several campgrounds in Texas, planning to settle down for 2 or 3 months next year. Of all the RV Resorts & campgrounds we have visited, this is our favorite. Unless we find one we like better, this will be our winter home next year. In addition to all the activities provided, we like the proximity to shopping: it is an easy bicycle ride to a big grocery store, a pharmacy, and several restaurants.

This is large park whose niche is the great number of activities provided. About 750 occupied sites during the "Winter Texan" season and 130 year round. Facilities include a secured entrance, large dining room (several meals available each week), large ballroom (dancing and/or entertainment every night during season), heated pool and hot tubs, lighted tennis courts, lighted shuffleboard, horseshoes, woodworking shop, activities building with pool tables, weight room, sewing room, table tennis, pickleball, arts, crafts and games. Activities include dance lessons, bike rides, bus trips, exercise classes, craft show, art show, ice cream socials, pot lucks and much more. Sites are spacious with full hookups; most are shaded. There is a separate pet section. The physical facilities have been showing their age but recently a major improvement program has been started, including wifi network, paving and pool resurfacing. Significant discounts for monthly and seasonal stays.
