Office is not always open, but just call and the owner will meet you there to get checked in. Full time residents, those camping and those just traveling thru. Tent sites available. Full hookup RV sites. We stayed a week. Clean laundry facilities and shower rooms. Nice playground for the kids. Picnic pavilion. Pull thru sites. Gravel sites and gravel roads, but it rained while we were there and there was no issue with mud. Sites are a little close together, but owner spaces rigs out when possible to you have an empty spot next to you. Fire ring and picnic table at each site. Internet available and was fine for e-mail and social media. Not a lot of amenities, but we are not "resort" type travelers, so the peace, quite and wonderful service was perfect for us. Open year round with limited cold weather spaces. Would definitely stay here again!!

The owner was nice enough and selected a pull through gravel site for our three-day stay here during the week. All the sites are gravel and ours was level. The restrooms are clean, and my husband even did a load of laundry for us, which is next to the women's restroom. There are a lot of people who stay here on a long-term basis. The crunch of gravel goes on later into the night and early in the morning as they go off to work. I base my comment on observing the workmen who have outdoor jobs (based... Read More

There are a lot of people who stay here on a long-term basis. The crunch of gravel goes on later into the night and early in the morning as they go off to work. I base my comment on observing the workmen who have outdoor jobs (based on the way they are dressed) straggle to the restroom or laundry in the early evening or in the morning.
Our site had a nice shade tree, and there did not seem to be any mosquitoes or bugs.
I would stay here again and would recommend it to others.

The manager was friendly and helpful, and gave us a good spot that was easy to get in and out of. The campground is older, and there weren't too many fancy amenities, but the bathrooms were very clean, and the grounds were well kept. We enjoyed our stay!
Wonderful campground! Level sites, long pull throughs, very clean everywhere, quiet surroundings with nice trees, very friendly and accommodating owners and staff. There is a nice pet walk area, ice cream freezer in the office, and covered pavilion. The office has lots of brochures on the local and surrounding areas. We will definitely stay here again when traveling in this area!
Road Trip 2018 (1 Night): An older well kept campground. Very clean bathrooms. Staff was very friendly. Beautiful appeal, I would return in a heartbeat.
Camp ground is the nicest, cleanest, friendliest I have seen and been to. Very clean showers and rest rooms. Very clean and maintained tenting area with electric hook ups for all guests. We were given an entire pavilion with lighting, tables, and electric plug ins. We were driving antique cars as we were attending the Rust Revival in Wayland, MO. On the first night we had motorcycles in the mix. We stayed 2 nights and the first night was wet so the pavilion was a gift. Our neighbors were... Read More

The owners were also friendly and tolerant. Ice was available on the honor system. I have nothing but praise for this place and people. We shall return.

This is a very nice old park. Good service with good facilities, clean and neat, all very well maintained. Check-in was easy with helpful owners who live in homes adjoining the park. Gravel roads and pads. The spaces are close, but not impossible. Hookup was well placed and easy. Lot of old growth trees, lots of shade with additional plantings and landscaping. There is spacious grass for walking, but area between spaces is pretty much all gravel with a hint of grass. There is no cable. Turn your... Read More

Lot of old growth trees, lots of shade with additional plantings and landscaping. There is spacious grass for walking, but area between spaces is pretty much all gravel with a hint of grass.
There is no cable. Turn your antenna like everyone else and you'll get adequate OTA channels. Wi-Fi was good in our spot, #5, near the office.
Laundry is very reasonable, but only 2 of each .
Bathrooms are dated but sparkling clean and comfortable...even decorated.
Walking trails have been cut into the woods. It is a real walk in the woods as the trails are a little rough, but interesting.
All this said, I now must add that a reservation is recommended. This park is almost all filled with long term employed. The trailers are neat with some long-term clutter like large furniture pieces and big freezers outside. There is some order to long-term placement vs travelers.
Everyone appears to be working, it is quiet and controlled. Trailers as family homes seems to be a sign of our times.
This is a relaxing stop from hours of driving. It is not a resort. It is a safe, secure and quiet spot along the way. We'll be back. We camped at Hickory Haven Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed here while my husband was travelling for work for about 5 weeks. The setting was lovely, we had a large pull through site with picnic table and fire ring. Large grassy dog area and very quiet nights. The management was extremely professional and helpful. Loved the instant texts whenever we had mail in the office. The laundry room and restrooms were also cleaned regularly. I wish all the parks treated guests like they did! Highly recommend this park.
