We camped for one night in in Banff National Park at Banff / Lake Louise-Trailer Park Campground during the second week of September 2019. This is a large campground that was a little hard to find. Just be aware that the the signs and directions to the campground were poor. This is a great location near town and to Lake Louise. For $32.80 (USD) per night we had 30 amp electric and water hook ups at our campsite. There is a very nice and efficiently designed dump station in the park. In the... Read More

In the area where we camped, each campsite was a shared site meaning that each campsite clearing has hook ups for two campers. You will camp right next to someone else. This is a great set-up if you're traveling with someone else, otherwise you won't have much separation or privacy from the camper right next to you. Also note that there is train traffic through the area all night which may disturb light sleepers. Bottom line, the Lake Louise Campground is a wonderful campground conveniently located near town and the lake. You'll be camping in the forest with great facilities for a reasonable price. We loved this campground and look forward to coming back soon.

Actually we were there In July 2015 we went to Lake Louise, Banff National Park. It is a nice RV Park. We stayed in slot #186, it in located nearer the river, but further away from the available showers, also there is no fire pit. Some RV spots did look narrow, but not all. We had enough room for two rvs in our spot, we had a truck with 27' 5th wheel with a living room slide out. Everyone we had next to us for a week were considerate and pleasant people. We had no problems with hook ups. I read... Read More

We had no problems with hook ups. I read a few reviews about this RV park and there were many comments about the noise of the train that skirts the RV park, but with the lushness of the trees near the river that surround the area where we were camping, the noise of the train was barely heard. We were pleased with our location. The available showers were ok, but didn't like the projected spray, felt like little pins hitting you. Restroom just down from us was clean and pleasant. Two additional things people should be aware of: 1) If you want a spot with fire pit, book early (wish they all had them), 2) when there is a Canadian holiday, there is no alcohol allowed anywhere in the park, including the RV park. Most of our time there was a weekday and there was a lot of people, but by the weekend the amount of people easily tripled. It is important to understand, when you go sightseeing, if you want to find a descent parking spot, the earlier you start the better off you will be.

The lots were to small for 2 trailers and the power hook up was in the wrong place so you had to run an extention cord under your trailer to reach the power plug the lots were designed back wards
