We booked a site on the outside of the ring road and were very satisfied, heavily wooded and shady in the hot August sun. No satellite TV service was possible however and the state parks do not offer cable which keeps the site rental cost modest. The walk to the river to see the dinosaur footprints was easy and relatively short, the footprints we saw in one of the two main viewing locations, were interesting but didn't really have a "wow" factor. There was a store in the park and display of a couple of large dinosaur models of interest to kids. The facilities including the bathrooms were typical of the TX state parks, nothing fancy but clean and working.
