This campground is 90% full-time use with people that both live there and come in for the weekend to stay at their rental spot. We were located at the entrance in front of the pool. There appears to only be about 10 spaces for "overnighters" to use so you don't get much to choose from. I hate to say this but there was only one good thing about this place and that was the beach. It was pretty and peaceful with a couple of entrances from the camp areas. That literally was the only peaceful thing about this campground as it was VERY noisy and loud even during the middle of the week! Lots of "locals" partying at their camp spots until 3 am and it only got worse as the weekend came on. They had a band play on that Saturday night for 3.5 hours until 10:45 pm and then put their background music on while they packed their stuff. People, therefore, hung out to listen to that music as well, leaving loudly around 11:15 pm only to go back to their campsites and continue to party. We like music but not right next to where we are camping and not with intoxicated people parking their golf carts in and around our site. The camp security if there was any was nowhere to be seen. So, if you're a partier then you will love this place but if you are looking for family camping as we were, then don't go here!!!! Very loose rules with pets being leashed and picking up poop. I also wanted to add that we had a difficult time getting out of our space and out of the campground. Between the other permanent sites, the campers next to us, and the not great logistics of the campground, we almost hit a truck and the white fencing at the entrance. We are not new to camping either so that was not the case here.

New Ownership Sun Rv Resorts. Sun Rv Registration is not in sync with the Park Office at all. Pool too small. Full time residents and Seasons take over! Booked our site then 4 days later they gave it to a Seasonal and did not notify us an they had months to do so. We showed up and tried to put us in a 30 amp 25 ft site for a 50 amp 35ft trailer.. not the breach site we booked months ago. All the breach sites are rented out to Seasonals, So do don't event try. Some paid years in advance. some really... Read More

Some paid years in advance. some really nice retired folks, then others just power house drinkers and the riff raff you get with that. 3 others we spoke with during our stay had exact same thing happen to them. expecting to book a backup to beach site and not going to get it. only 16 sites available for rental all by the office. Area floods easy with storms, don't leave any awnings out. Supplies you need are not available in camp store so you have to yonder out to get minor things like paper plates, cheese, awning deflappers, TP and such. No they don't honor Good Sams membership for weeks stay or for anything. boat dock was the only plus but recommend before you take one out they drege the area as all the other boaters recommend. Golf cart rental.. forget it.. bring your own or don't have one. Camp office closes to early. WIFI listing is a lie, cant access it or stream or barely connect. ATT Service doesn't work here either, no bars even with booster. Version appears to be the only cell service to work. Maybe in 3 years this could turn this around for this park, but won't return or recommend in future.

It's overcrowded. The sites are rediculously small. The beach was nice but management allows the campers to stake a claim on the beach with those easy-up canopies which are left there overnight and all day for the duration of their stay. Therefore it's almost impossible to find a spot on the beach unles it's low tide. This should not be allowed to continue. Golf cart traffic is out of control. I brought a golf cart with me but only used it a few times because it's just too congested and chaotic... Read More

I brought a golf cart with me but only used it a few times because it's just too congested and chaotic in the campground. One of the other guests pulled up in his golf cart to the site directly behind us and blasted his stereo, completely drowning out my music at my campsite and the whole block. This continued for over 2 hours including a few minutes past quiet hours. Some of the permanent trailers are looking pretty trashy. I definitely wouldn't call this place a resort anymore. I'm sure it was nice at one time but it's being run into the ground now. It's a shame because it's a great location with a lot of potential. Disappointed

We traveled over to look at New Point last week. It's under new ownership. The office, bathrooms, and other buildings are in great shape. They appear to be new. However, that changes dramatically once you get into the park. There are number of very, very old trailers and RVs that look like they've been there a long time. Some of the attached buildings (additions) and decks to those trailers are in disrepair and look "trashy"!!! The grounds were not appealing either. It looks like landscaping was... Read More

It looks like landscaping was not on anyone's agenda! The marina looks like the piers and pilings should be replaced. It looked like a worn out trailer park with many, many long term occupants. Unlike some RV Parks I've been in the permanent rentals are not centrally located but spread throughout the park and transients just fit in where there's a vacancy. I was told by an occupant that the channel had shoaled up and needed to be dredged. Overall it look like one of the lower end facilities that I've been to. I would not stay there. It looks like the new owners cleaned up the front end so that it looks nice when you arrived but once you got into the park it was a whole nother story.
