Campground has super tight parking tow vehicles must be parked to the side and roads are terrible with ruts. No room outside to put table since I had a fir tree right next to the camper and another one directly behind it. The only good thing about it was it was full hookup and inside the park. Good thing we were so tried when we got back each evening we just fixed dinner inside and went to bed. I heard they are going to be doing upgrades to the camp ground next year, but they could have put fresh... Read More

The facilities are fine. Was still a lot of snow in the park combined with little room it took a while to get to our spot while we waited for a neighbor to back a long travel trailer into a short hole. He did a great job but it took a while. Through the week a good bit of the snow melted away. Overall the experience was great.

We stayed in an 18 foot trailer. Previous reviews had me worried that it was a glorified parking lot but we needed to charge our battery and the weather was cold and my wife wanted better heating so we wanted electricity. It turned out very well for us, we stayed extra days there, but our trailer is very nimble, and we were out sightseeing during the day. We would definitely stay there again if we returned.

We were here July 6-12, 2015 in a 28 ft bumper pull toy hauler camper, ram 2500 truck. As others have said, narrow roads, very tight campsites. I had to make several attempts to get backed in because of the narrow road and pad. No Wifi, No cable, No ota TV, see the park in daytime, sleep at night or bring dvds. No ATT cell service. my neighbor had Verizon and he had limited service. there is a few places in the park we did find ATT service. We did not use the showers or bathrooms. About the only... One of the few places to park a motor home in Yellowstone itself, that's the only reason for 3 stars. The loops are almost impossible to navigate in a big rig (40'). The "parking pads" are curved and don't fit our vehicle. The restrooms are outdated and have no showers. The spaces are so close together you have no privacy. For all of the acres of land they have, you think they would be able to build a decent campground!

Sites are so small it's hard to get backed in and is made worse by the narrow roads that's in very poor condition, for what they charge per night it looks like they could spend some of the revenue on repairs in the campground, Wi-Fi and Verizon cell service is practically non existent, the way the sites are arranged if you have slide-outs you are inches away from your neighbor and literally can hear them talking in a low voice. On the positive side it's centrally located in the park so it's a good hub for seeing the park and since you have few choices outside the park that would not require hours of driving to see the park I guess it's ok for a short stay.

A 6 day visit for us. The primary reason for the low ratings were the extremely 'cramped' space with sites literally 'arms length' from each other with front door step 'right at the neighboring sewer hose outlet'. Also the lack of fire rings, picnic tables and shade was somewhat unappealing. Other than this was very good park.
