We thought this was going to be a decent park because the staff was so pleasant at check-in and the park was close to the highway so convenient, however once we were fully set up we discovered that the 20 amp plug we required for our Airstream didn't work at our site and since we don't have a 30 or 50 amp plug we had to move. After moving and hooking up electric we discovered that our sewer connection was taken by the motorhome next to us, even though it was completely obvious that his was on the other side of his rv right in front of his door. They weren't home (all night) so we went without sewer. Personally I think park owners should be responsible for knowing what's working on their sites before renting them out. We were so disappointed and freezing at this point we didn't want to move again. We feel we should have received a refund but it wasn't even offered. Wouldn't recommend this park. Lots of long term guests making noise going to work at 7am in diesel trucks and the highway noise is noticeable. Also, our first site didn't have any wifi because it was so far from the office.
Easy on/off I 40 and excellent wi-fi were the only positives. The road in is behind a gas station, potholed and hard to find. Because of lots of previous rain and very little gravel on the sites it was a muddy mess everywhere. Slopes are so bad we could not get close to level, even with blocks, so our hot water heater would not stay lit. The first site we were offered had no electric hookup box (!?!) a fact which was not known to the office help. Did not use the showers or restrooms because of having to walk through a lot of mud to get there.
We found it difficult to believe this was a Good Sam RV park as we entered. The directions (arrows) to the entrance were a little vague. The driveway in was very rough and full of pot holes. The campground over all was not well maintained. The grass had been partially cut but there were tall grasses and weeds everywhere. It was obvious which units had been there for some time as there was no trimming close to the units. The sites were extremely close together. Although we had a pull through site, there was no room for a picnic table. There were only a few picnic tables and not one for each site. The sites were also very uneven. There is a dump station only. This park is right next to the Interstate so it's pretty noisy all day and all night. We were disappointed to say the least.
I try to form my own opinions, but I agree with everyone else. We had made a reservation and came in on Sunday .The office is Closed and there was no paperwork for us. we walked the sites and picked out one next to someone else who was only there for a night. A lot of sites are permanent. none Level- some very hard to get into and a down pitch when you leave. To use the Laundry Room you need to go thru the Womens Restrooms. Grass needs to be cut.
As others have said it is good on and off place but most of the sites are occupied by full time residents. Nothing wrong with that but the people next to my site had a pick up truck full of stuff in part of my site. My site was not level. Not all of it was their fault, I just should have checked it out more online and not even sure what else there is to choose from in the area. Not the worst but not the best I have stayed at.
Only stayed here one night. They did have a site for us at the last minute but the neighbors trash was on our picnic table, the grass was a foot high with dog droppings everywhere. The pull thru site was not in the least level. The bathrooms were clean. The good thing was that the park was on / off the interstate-easy for our escape. Will not stop here again.
