cleanliness and physical characteristics of restrooms, including interior construction, adequate supplies/odor free, adequate number of facilities, exterior appearance and location in relation to park spaces, and interior appearance.
the park's setting and site layout, function and identification of signage, overall exterior building maintenance, noise, trash disposal, litter and debris around the grounds and sites, and appearance of grounds, sites and entrance area.
They are not as dog friendly as they say they are and the pool is no longer available for RVer's and the continental breakfast is also not free to those in RV's anymore. We tried to run some laundry and they were dirty and didn't do a very good job. This is the most disappointed we've been of any RV Parks we've been to. I refused to use the bathrooms and showers they were so dirty. They've cleaned up some of the junk around the RVs but it is still not a good place to go.
We stayed overnight @ this facility as it was listed as a Good Sam park. Upon pulling into our spot we noticed that the entire perimeter of the park was surrounded by older trailers, 5th wheels, & motor homes which appeared not to have been moved in quite a while. There were appliances, bottles, buckets, etc., surrounding each of them. When we took our dogs out to the dog area, it was evident that many others had used this without clean up. Garbage was piled up and outside of the dumpster. Wondering how long it has been since Good Sam has reviewed this park as the internet pix show a different view. Would not recommend this park to anyone!
Truly a bad Good Sam campground, I don't know how they could rate this campground with the numbers 9.5/8/7. The place looks like a slum, junk piled around campers, trash and dog litter on the ground. I recommend not staying here.
The clerk was ill-informed, and was actually the clerk for the hotel adjacent. The trash cans could only be located (when they were present at all) by looking for large piles of stinking garbage bags. A clerk notified me that the garbage service had stopped coming. The men's bathroom had no working toilet, and an old scribbled note said to use the toilet in the hotel. The shower worked, but was filthy. Nobody working there seemed to care. Area noisy, close to highway. Pull-throughs were shared, front to back, I had the front, so it was easy to leave after a single night.
What a joke, this resort should not be part of the Good Sam organisation. This is a hillbilly camp with lots of junk around those dilapidated rv'so. I can'tell understand that the management allows this to happen and I can'tell also not understand that this organisation give the rating it did. I wonder if they ever checked the place out. Many faucets are either broken or not working, sewer lines are plugged, WiFi is not working, Good Sam discount is not honoured and the negative list goes on and on. A disgrace.
We were in the area for a college graduation and saw the ratings and reserved a spot. We arrived and it looked very seedy but, we paid for 2 nights and proceeded to drive in. It was frightening! People were changing oil in their rigs, there were tarps over the top of a few RVs and bedsprings leaning up against the side of another! Horrible place! we asked for our money back based on the conditions! They refused!
Poorly kept, trash every where, long term sites look like junk piles including derelict vehicles and garbage, trash cans all full, a large dog running loose, several others tied out and barking incessantly, no security at all, way over priced.
Parking lot in the back of Days Inn Motel. No way this is a 9.5!! Lots of garbage, no designated area for pets, dog poop not picked up. Junk yard at back of property against freeway. OK for overnight but that's it
This campground was so run down that I can't even give it a true one star rating. We were travelling in winter and the site we were sent to wasn't plowed. Someone from the hotel did come out and direct us to another site. Electricity only as site was not thoroughly plowed. Park has a number of full time residents and the sites are very poor looking and the tenants were somewhat odd. I can't believe that this is a good sam's park. We paid $55 for the night (the most expensive site to date) for a very poor site and service. Wasn't offered breakfast and wouldn't have eaten at hotel anyway. Very miserable experience and I certainly wouldn't recommend this park unless you had nowhere else to stay. The truck stop next door would have been better.
How is it this is rated at 9.5? This is why it is hard to determine a good park when they are rated like this. This place is full of old trashy full time residents and a lot of real creepy tenants. A whole lot of freeway noise and worst of all, the wifi is absolutely horrible. If you need wifi, even for a brief time, forget it here. Lots of overflowing trash cans. They have a single dumpster when they need three. So as trash pickup day approaches, you have a mound of stinky trash around the dumpster. Many parks around here with much better facilities, go there.
We would never recommend E&J RV on Berry Rd at Ellensburg, Washington. We stayed the night at E&J RV Resort. Site 306-A RV-FULL service $49.99 which should include complete sewer service. The problem was that we were not able to use the sewer connection even after moving our 5th wheel back to the site behind us. The sewer connection just overflowed on both places. YUCK! The manager was not overly concerned when we notified him. Pricey stay for incomplete service. Again, we would NEVER RECOMMEND this campsite, and feel GoodSam should remove them from their website because it is not up to their standards.
Absolutely the poorest shoddiest RV park we have ever stayed in. Mostly populated by long term workers. Trashy cars. Trash trailers. No cable tv. WiFi is advertised, but it drops as soon as I tried to use it. Plus, it is grossly overpriced - $53! Good Sam's reputation has gone down the potty if they do not drop this place.
Like other reviews, I should have read these first and not relied on the Good Sam rating (how/when we're these ratings determined?). Despite full hookups, sites VERY close together, no shade, MANY full time campers in very old trailers (one even up on pallets) make the Park look very run down. Half of the washers/dryers broken and appeared to be for a long time, even front door of motel/office was broken. Trash overflowing, a lot of dog feces in the little bit of dry grass you have for your site. $54 (w tax and GS discount) was extremely high. Free breakfastbreakfast nothing special. Only view from our site were semis pulling in and out of the travel center next door. Go elsewhere!
The majority of this park is long term stays. We were placed by what they call a creek but it really was just stagnant water that smelled. This park is run out of a motel. Everything was basically dirty. I would not allow my kids to swim in the pool as the water was not at all clear. The free continental breakfast was so bad that we didn't even eat anything. I cannot recommend this park to anyone. This was our first Good Sam Park and am a bit leery of staying at Good Sam approved parks now.
Very disappointed! I did not read the reviews, but went by the rating on the web site. There is no way this is a 9.5 facility! It is the back parking lot of a Days Inn, asphalt and gravel with very little grass and the grass we have, has animal feces! Restroom!!! There are not 8 restrooms and are not secure! My rating of the restrooms is less than 1. Appeal at first sight is a 1, and goes down as you drive through. If you love cats, you will love this place, stray cats everywhere. There are permanent residents and the sites are in disarray. Will not stay here again.
Very disappointed in Good Sam Club for this high rating.
NO, NO, NO. Don't bother. Stayed many times before. Was reasonable and well maintained. Not a nice place anymore. Rates are unreal. Pull through so are front to rear so if front doesn't move, rear has to back out. With a tow, this means disconnect. Water pressure nil!! Trash overflowing. NEVER AGAIN!!
This park is no where close to the high rating it received. It was the most expensive I have paid for in Washington.
The pull through are shared front to rear for hook ups.
The grounds were not maintained. We had to plow through the snow and shovel a walk to the door. The sidewalks around the bathrooms were covered in snow and ice - very slick.
The bathrooms were in poor condition. The showers were a common share area with only a curtain for privacy.
The grounds were covered in dog feces.
There are several permanent residents there.
I would not stay there again.
Check-in was a farce, no Good Sam Card check or discount. No site map, just a sight #.
No TV, when I asked I was told someone ran into the splitter a couple weeks ago.
The bathroom were a mess, again we were told that they would be clean in a couple of days.
Thankfully we stayed that night and left.
Not even close to the 9 1/2 star rating. We had a pull that we shared with our friends, end to end! Grounds were in need of attention, grassy areas were not mowed. A continental breakfast offered for $5.00. All this for $50.00 a night. Very disappointed.
This is a marginal place, it is on baron cement with small spaces. You will be very close to your neighbor with no room for an awning. Stay here if you are traveling I90 and you are very tired, otherwise avoid it.
