We stayed two nights to see the sights in Colorado Springs. Although 20 minutes or so outside of town the campground is in lovely woods on a slight hillside. The staff were excellent and helpful. Our parking site was one of the pull throughs on a slight rise above the rest of the campground. The parking area was all gravel and very level and well maintained. We had a nice fire ring at the edge of the 10 foot or so "cliff" with a view over the campground. Deer wandered by and we were warned... Read More

We had a nice fire ring at the edge of the 10 foot or so "cliff" with a view over the campground. Deer wandered by and we were warned that black bear could wander through as well very early or late. We never saw or heard of a bear while we were there. The hookups all worked perfectly although the electric connection was in a stone lined pit that made it a bit awkward to hook up my surge protector and it had to lay flat in the bottom of the pit. Had there been any serious rain I am fairly certain it would have become submerged, It appeared the parking pads were raised a foot or so with gravel after the electrical connections were installed thus creating the small pit. We didn't try out the restrooms or other amenities in the campground but enjoyed our stay thoroughly and would return again without a thought.

Stayed 7 nights at Mountaindale. Nestled at the foothills of the Rockies with sites uniquely set into the hillside, the setting is beautiful. You are 2 miles off the main highway however, large trucks are making runs to the quarry during the day Monday through Saturday. But even so, we did not find this to be an issue. Travel time is 45 minutes to Pueblo and 30 minutes to Colorado Springs. The trade off is great scenery and having deer and wild turkeys wandering around the campground. It is primarily... Read More

Travel time is 45 minutes to Pueblo and 30 minutes to Colorado Springs. The trade off is great scenery and having deer and wild turkeys wandering around the campground. It is primarily red dirt and gravel so when it rains/snows, it will be a little messy but then again, you are in a campground. The staff were professional and friendly with an easy check in process. The site was level and it appears they routinely re-grade the sites. The utilities were nicely laid out but lost power for a few hours one morning. A nice dog park near the front of the property. And an ice cream social - heard Saturday waffles would be coming soon. As noted on the website, you will not have cell service on any provider but WiFi calling and FaceTime worked perfectly. You can get one over the air channel but the WiFi network supported streaming and it was great, even with the full campground over the weekend. The one down side was 4 of the 8 washing machines were down as were 1 of the 4 dryers. The bathrooms were adequate and clean. Would consider staying here again if we pass through the area in the future.

This place was the most beautiful place we stayed at on our southwest trip. Really liked it, and it's close to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. . .which is worth going to. Only ding is that there was no pool.

MOUNTAINDALE resort in Colorado Springs Colorado is one of the best places we've stayed at,the staff is extremely helpful and they are always available for anything, they have everything always clean it's like there is little elves cleaning up every time I walk into laundry bathrooms etc it looks like it was just cleaned. They have individual bathrooms with individual showers so again you feel right at home. They have events going on every week like $1 ice cream socials where you can walk up and... Read More

They have pot luck dinners and parties for other special days like Easter and they provided the ham and plates etc . They have kids activities on most Saturdays where they entertain them with different crafts and such in the club house . It's like one big family and yet one of the quietest places I've ever been at, we walked around last night and with a full park, all these campers and no noise? Amazing how wonderful this place is.

Stayed 3-4 days, very nice park, staff and owner were outstanding, very helpful. Park is nestled in a tree lined section of the area and is almost like camping out. Had good spots for all sizes of rigs. I wish we could have stayed longer, but will definitely return for a longer stay this year.

Beautiful campground. Easy to find. Nestled in the trees with large, level campsites. Restrooms were immaculate. Staff was helpful and friendly. We had very patchy cell phone service but that was OK. Wifi worked well. Deer wandered through the grounds. One of the nicer places we have stayed. Definitely would return.

A little out of way, off the highway 2 miles, 15 miles south of Ft Carson. Wooded pines surround the park. The terraced sites where I stayed are extra nice pull throughs. Clean modern laundry and game room. Deer visit park early and evening. Well cared for park but not overly friendly staff. The summer storms brought frequent but short power outages. And, if you have AT&T cell service, you will need to drive out of the park to make calls.
