cleanliness and physical characteristics of restrooms, including interior construction, adequate supplies/odor free, adequate number of facilities, exterior appearance and location in relation to park spaces, and interior appearance.
the park's setting and site layout, function and identification of signage, overall exterior building maintenance, noise, trash disposal, litter and debris around the grounds and sites, and appearance of grounds, sites and entrance area.
This was by far the best campground I have ever used. The grounds themselves were immaculate, and the facilities and restrooms were clean and well kept. The grounds are right outside the west gate of Yellowstone and was in an easy place to get in and out of. This place gets the best recommendation I can give.
This is far and above the finest RV park I have ever stayed in. The staff is exceedingly helpful no matter what the issue. The grounds are manicured and impeccable. It is a very quiet park with ample trees, grass areas and is located right outside the west entrance to Yellowstone Park. When traveling to this area I would not ever stay anywhere else. My wife and I are planning an extended stay next year. Love Grizzly!!!
Love the nearness to Yellowstone. The park itself was very nice - hundreds of sites yet all were nicely grassed and had a nice clean air. I really appreciated the office/store area - very clean, very nice. The staff were more helpful than I would ever expect - smiling and helping with tourism questions and also helping us find a site for an additional night. The location is near restaurants, etc (we enjoyed Madison Crossing) and there's so much to do in this tourist town. We spent most of the time in the Yellowstone Park but enjoyed each moment at the RV park. We would definitely stay again.
Best I have ever seen so far. I thought $75.00 was a lot for an RV spot. However once we got here and spent one very quiet night I was happy.
Great location, easy walk or bike ride to a great town.
Worth every penny.
Clean, spacious RV Park located < 1 mile from West entrance of Yellowstone National Park. Lots of long (80') pull through parking pads w full hookup. Quiet at night. Some shade but temps here are 70s during day and 40s evening. Walking distance from many restaurants in town. So much better than the RV sites in the park. Moderately expensive but the value makes it worth it.
This property has high ratings, but this review is campsite specific. I wiill honestly say that this is my first bad experience at Grizzly RV Park. On all previous visits, we were able to reserve a premium back-in site. No problems. This time we are in a regular back-in site. I can't speak for any of the other regular back-in sites, but sites #1, 2, 3, and 4 are righg next to the Grizzly dump stations! Our site is advertised as 45 feet, but it is really 40 feet. One can attempt to back up a little farther and extend unto the grass. Be sure to bring an extended sewer hose. Be sure to call and determine your regular back-in site number!!!
They offered to move us the next evening to a different site. However, that would have entailed disconnecting from utilities, repacking, and towing the rv early next morning to their parking lot and waiting there the entire day with family and dog with no water or electricity until our tow vehicle was available again that evening. What a way to start a vacation.
Knowing this, they have not offered to keep us abreast of any sites that come available later in the day. It is pretty much a "take it or leave it" attitude.
I enjoyed our stay here! The staff are very friendly and the park is nice and well kept. We had a pull through site and we had plenty of room on all sides. I was really impressed with the cleanliness of the restrooms/showers. They have codes to get into the shower/restroom and that made me feel safe going at night and early morning. I have never visited a campground with restrooms and showers as clean as this!! I would definitely recommend this park!
This was a great RV park. Very clean, organized, friendly, well-managed, etc. I took off 1 star of the facilities rating for 2 reason. First, no pool, which could be understandable, considering the location and how short the summer is. Secondly, and most importantly, the sewer connection is located near the front of each site. Most RV's have sewer connections at the back, which meant mine would not reach. I had to by an extension kit from the office for $50. The same kit at Wal-mart is $34. If ever in the area, I would definitely stay here again, but grab yourself an extension for your RV hose if you are coming here. My hose will stretch 20 ft and I needed another 15 to make it to the sewer inlet. The playground was very nice and my son loved it.
This is a great park with a great location just outside the west entrance to Yellowstone. It is a very clean well-manicured facility. The park is big rig friendly with paved, level sites. Utilities worked well. Wi-Fi was pretty good. Roads are paved and easy to navigate. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. The park is within walking distance of downtown West Yellowstone. It has many amenities including multiple bathrooms, showers and laundry rooms. We would definitely stay again.
This park set the standard on our recent trip. It was the biggest of any park we stayed at, and also the nicest. This is a huge park. From the moment we checked in, I was amazed at the professionalism of the staff, and how well maintained the park was. Everyone we met went out of their way to make sure we found what we needed. The spaces were larger than other parks we stayed at. We looked at the other parks in downtown West Yellowstone and they all had gravel "parking lots" with the spaces small and cramped. Grizzley RV was the nicest of the bunch. We were in an older section with mature trees for nice shade. We were adjacent to a dog walk trail that led to a national forest area where the dogs could run off leash. We saw lots of people there with dogs. We saw everything from small pop up trailers to huge "bus" RV's. They had spaces to accommodate everyone. The bathroom/shower facilities were very clean. They have a small store with limited RV supplies. There is a large grass lawn and play area for those with kids. We saw lots of people using it during our stay. Next time are in West Yellowstone we will stay here again.
We stayed at 14 different RV parks in 30 days and this was our favorite. Huge spaces (we had a corner lot). All paved roads with in the park and lots of laundry and bath facilities throughout the park. Super clean and staff very friendly. If you are visiting Yellowstone, this is the place to stay!
Our first visit, but not our last!! Beautiful park, absolutely glorious in the fabulous fall weather we enjoyed! Office staff could not have been more helpful or friendlier. Everything was Clean, Clean, CLEAN! We stayed their 6 nights in an 80' pull through space in our 34' Montana Mountaineer 5th wheel. Recommend it highly, but you had better get your reservations in early. I'm just sayin...
This is the place to stay if you want to explore the west entrance to Yellowstone. Pull thru site was excellent, but the neighboring rigs are a tad close. I might be getting picky. The utilities are excellent and the service is top notch. I stay in a 34 foot 5th wheel.
We found this park to be among the most professionally operated parks we have stayed at. Some may consider their fees a bit pricey but considering the location (a few blocks from the west entrance to Yellowstone) and the fact that their revenue is very seasonable, we felt their pricing was fair. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The showers are clean and spacious enough. The sites are a bit closely situated but not unreasonably so. We stayed two nights and would have been comfortable staying a good deal longer had we been able to. Very nice park.
The staff were helpful and friendly. The park is big rig friendly. The park is exceptional, compared to the other local parks, but over priced. We could have gone to one of the quality hotels for just a little more money.
Great park to stay or just stop at. My wife & I stayed 5 nights while visiting Yellowstone and the town of West Yellowstone. From the beginning at registration to pulling out we found the park to be a suburb experience. Well maintained and managed. We stayed in the older section and our site had mature trees, a patio with table along with a lawn area. As we were on the corner our site was certainly large enough to feel alone. The park was 2/3 full during our stay and was very quiet both during the day and night. The park is bounded on two sides by natural forest and great for hiking or walking your dog. The site itself lends for nice walks along the interior streets and is within walking distance of the Town. The West entrance to the park is a short 4 blocks from the park. If you looking for a park to either stay or base at this one fits the bill.
Check in very nice, sites are all paved but close together. Bathrooms very nice but gave only 4 stars cuz the lights go off on you if you’re sitting or showering to long. Park is within walking distance of West Yellow Stone, but if elderly you might want to drive as it's not that close. We would like to have stayed longer, but waited too long to make reservations. I would stay there again and have recommended to others going to area.
Overall very nice. The play ground was kind of small for the size of the park. Spaces are quite close together. All paved. Close walking distance to town and shops. Restrooms were clean, however the auto shut off on the lights was quite annoying, the lights automatically shut off after about 10 minutes (motion sensors). If you are in the shower for 11 minutes, it get VERY dark in the room. Need to bring a flashlight.
