Non-site specific reservations can be made via recreation.gov. We stayed April 21-24. Rangers are friendly, helpful, and made frequent tours of the campground and beach areas. As is the case with most NPs, the sites are quite narrow. Each site pad has a wheel stop, and most sites are about 42' long to the wheel stop (there may be a "few" larger ones). Restrooms were clean and functional (cold water only), there are outdoor showers with "warm" (whatever temperature the sun manages to get the... Read More

There is construction immediately South of the campground at the Bonner bridge. The noise from this construction did not bother us at all (we stayed in site C17 which is near the off-road vehicle beach access road), but we're not sure if that was because the bad weather kept the work in check or not (the rangers did say that the normal construction noise wasn't bad at all). When the wind wasn't howling (we stayed during a storm), you could hear the ocean from our site. Beach access is via trails either to the ORV access road or through the dunes. Pet friendly (6' leash, including on the beach). Easy access to the fill/dump station across the highway at the marina (Oregon Inlet Fishing Center). It's about 10 miles to the closest city, but the marina store has general items available. We'll definitely be back.
