Great location directly across from the Mesa Verde Nation Park Visitor's Center.
Clean and well maintained. Friendly staff who were genuinely interested in keeping a first-class RV Park.
Pool, golf, and other family activities.
Note: Google Maps took me to the wrong location in Mancos, CO. I had a heck of a time turning my rig around to get back on track.

Appeal Rating If you are in the area to visit Mesa Verde National Park, you will find this park very convenient. Numerous sites in the park have a view of the Mesa. Also, close to this park is the Notah-Dinah Trading Company, Aztec Ruins, Monument Valley, Canyon de Chelly, Lowry Pueblo, Havendeep Pueblo, and Durango. In spite of it's name (and possibly once true) there is only a small section of the park that has old growth trees. The rest were small, somewhat muddy, treeless sites. Our site came with the previous campers dog waste. The sites are in serious need of maintenance as the weeds were so high around the picnic table that it was unusable. Overall, the park was overgrown with weeds which detracted from it's appearance. It has a large, log cabin clubhouse that was very comfortable. All the facilities were near the front except for a barn that may be used for events. There were none while we were there. The wifi was very poor and Verizon service was also spotty. Office and other employees were helpful and pleasant. Mancos is a small city but did have a two small grocery stores and a couple restaurants, but at least 2 were closed for good it appears. The pizza at P&D grocery was fresh and very good. Cortez is also close by with more choices. J Fargos in Cortez has a good menu, but the food was cold by the time it was served. If you are in this area to visit Mesa Verde, you can't beat this location.

Appeal Rating We stayed the the first weekend of August and based from this RV park while sightseeing the Four Corners Area. From the minute we arrived the staff was very friendly and helpful. The park was very clean and appeared to be maintained. It was quiet and peaceful. They worked with us and moved reservations around so our friends who were meeting us at the park could park next to us. It looks like they are fixing the park up and adding more spaces. The only issue was the area we were in, is the spaces were too close to each other and not much shade. Over all it was a very good experience and we are definitely staying again, as we frequent the area.

This is a first class facility. It is quiet at nite. The spots are roomy. The park is spotless. The owners have done a ?????? great job making for a good experience at Ancient Cedars! We didn't use the restroom or laundry facilities, but are sure they are on par with the rest of the park. We will be sure to stay at the park again. They are just outside the gate to Mesa Verde N.P. What a great combination!

Appeal Rating Spent a month in this heaven. Looking out kitchen window at the Sleeping Ute is amazing. I chose this campground after one conversation with the owner. I have not been disappointed. Owners are on site working on grounds every day. Clean, and family friendly. Great little store and the laundry is sparkling. Nicely located between Mancos and Cortez and Durango is a short ride also.

Appeal Rating Stumbled across this excellent RV park on a recommendation from Mesa Verde National Park, (Arawak?) concessioners who informed me that their campground was not open but this one was right across the highway from the Park was and is very nice and quite convenient. We liked it so much we stayed 3 nights. Off season so very quite and beautiful views! We would highly reommend this RV park foe anyone who wants to spend time in the Cortez, Mesa Verde Park, Durango area. Some great indian ruins in that area over 1000 years old!

Appeal Rating We stayed over Labor Day Weekend. The town considered this time frame to be off season, but the owners made us feel welcome. The owners suggested place to eat and things to do that were still open for the season. The facilities were nice with a homey woodsy feel.

Appeal Rating Nice folks ,aim to please, they just purchased it recently and had done many upgrades. We used a water/elec only pull through site at a reasonable cost .Very close to Mesa Verde, actually a better campground than in the park, we checked it out later on our trip. Would have stayed longer but had to move on.
