We attended the Saskatchewan Summer Star Party and stayed in the Meadows section of the Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park. As far as Provincial Parks go this was the best we have encountered. We attended the Saskatchewan Summer Star Party and stayed in the Meadows section of the Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park. As far as Provincial Parks go this was the best we have encountered. You know how some campgrounds make you a little claustrophobic? Well, the sites where we stayed were pull-through with plenty of room to maneuver and space to enjoy yourself. These sites were at least double and a half what you get at other parks - it was big enough you could park two rv's on site let alone one, so you sure don't feel hemmed in. There was a good sturdy picnic table and a well-constructed fire pit, 30 amp power outlet and fresh water, just no septic on site - no problem for just a 4 night stay as it is better to use and fill your tanks then dump when they are full anyway with easy access to the dump station on your way out. If you need to use the washrooms some had water flush while others were outhouses they were very clean and well taken care of, even the outhouse style ones which even had hand-sanitizer dispensers! The park itself is beautiful - rolling hills and tall pine trees, paved main roadways and good gravel campsite roads that you can ride a bike on and didn't get all muddy even with the bit of rain we had. The staff was friendly and well informed. There are also all kinds of activities at the park and in the area for kids or adults. Check out their website for details. We had a very nice stay and would recommend this campground without hesitation.
