This location offers a good location with wonderful lake access. The facilitates are poorly maintained and cleaned. Have visited this campground 2 years in a row. Same primary problem both years. ANTS! The entire camping area is infested with ants. We used every known defense to fight off the onslaught to no avail. Other campers met us as we set up camp and warned of the attack coming. Our defenses were strong but we were over run.. just like all the other campers. We have returned home with ants in tow and now trying to clear the enemy out of the rv. I can see no excuse for this. A full treatment of Old Salem Campgrounds for ants is in order. You can't sit anywhere in your campsite or even the beach/swim area without ants. Shame on you GA. Power!
