This was our first campground ever in our first travel trailer ever. Overall, we greatly enjoyed the campground. We received a phone call earlier in the day of our check-in making sure we were still arriving and giving instructions on check-in if we'd be arriving after the office closed. Campground was easy to find. Campsite was easy to find. Pull thru site, which we greatly appreciated for our first time. Full hook ups. Campground was easy to find. Campsite was easy to find. Pull thru site, which we greatly appreciated for our first time. Full hook ups. The site was pretty level, we only had to make small adjustments. Sites were shaded. Campground has a pool (not sure if it was open due to COVID), game room, dog park, playground, and boat launch. We didn't use anything of these, so I can't comment on how well maintained they were. Campground isn't far from a couple of small towns, so easy access to grocery stores, restaurants, etc. If we're in the area again, we definitely stay here again.

Staff is friendly and helpful. Restrooms are clean. The campground itself has serious drainage issues. A heavy rain can leave your site under water. It can also make your sewer connection unusable.

The roads are muddy and lots of potholes, the law was out there every night. Kids on bikes being hit by golf cart. Not family oriented campground. Would not recommend going there. Management terrible

The roads into the park are good. It is a gated park, if no one at gate check the mailbox for check-in information. Roads in the park have some pot holes. Office was closed so we checked in the next morning, fast and friendly. There is a store with basic needs, a game room, pool and playground. This is a large, well maintained park with one section for full timers. There are two lakes and canals. We were in Site 18, a level pull through with full hook ups. The sewer drain was clogged, but they came... Read More

The sewer drain was clogged, but they came and cleaned it out. Site is average width, level and had a picnic table. It was plenty long enough for our 37-foot Class A, tow-dolly and parking the car. The laundry room and bathrooms are clean. Lots of places to walk your dog, but no dog park. WiFi was an extra fee, did not use it and this why we gave it a 4 star instead of 5 rating. Our Verizon signal was strong. We stayed May 13-20, 2018 and paid $43.00 a night. Washington, NC is just a few minutes away with lots of shopping, dining and a nice river walk.

Was only there two night and did not use any facilities. The night manager was very courteous and went out of his way to even change our reservation to a better site. On leaving early he was great to open the propane tank and fill my tank which I had neglected to do during the day. I did not have a boat, but would highly recommend it because of the excellent boating and storage amenities.
