I have no idea when a Good Sam representative last visited the Bullfrog RV Park and Campground, but I suspect it's been awhile. Starting with the reservation process.....having reserved campsites for about 50 years, this is the first time I have encountered the inability to reserve a specific site. Clearly, I don't understand this policy, but I personally didn't like the fact that upon arrival there were only 3 sites available to choose from.....and obviously they were what others left. Clearly, I don't understand this policy, but I personally didn't like the fact that upon arrival there were only 3 sites available to choose from.....and obviously they were what others left. Next, I was told on arrival that only sites 1-17 were serviceable in that THERE WAS NO WATER at the remaining 7 sites (18-24). 100 degrees, no shade, in the desert, no water. A camper who was there before me moved his rig to the site that opened up across the road from me, telling me that they woke up in the middle of the night with no power. So, no A/C, end of July, early August. This fellow camper told me that he'd been "...coming there for 6 years, and those 7 sites with no water have had no water..." since he'd been coming there. I cannot verify. Restroom, while decent, was filthy the couple times I attempted to use. Filthy, plugged-up toilet. Not being cleaned/serviced with enough frequency. I saw an A/C unit on the roof of the restroom. Was never operating.......doors left open. Obviously, the operators are not interested in putting a dime into maintenance or serviceability, much less IMPROVEMENTS! While we survived, it was very disappointing.

The first impression is that this can't be the $46 RV park we paid a $55 park entry fee for RV & boat to get to. Then you realize you are wrong, this is a patch of sand and weeds with outdated hookups, no trees or grass and goat-head seeds coming into your home every time you step outside. The good part was the site was perfectly level. Also there were very few people there, even over the weekend, so the mediocre 2 shower, 1 urinal, 1 toilet common men's room was usually available. I guess when... Read More
