We stayed here on our final night of a two week vacation. We were planning to explore Casey, Illinois the next day (which was a GREAT experience!!) and wanted to stay close. We struggled a bit with the price of this one, which came in as our most expensive stay of the entire trip. But we will say that despite the price, the experience was really positive! We arrived late in the day, and the camp hosts came right out to greet us. The gentleman escorted us to our site and even helped Ryan navigate backing in, which was really helpful, since there were vehicles all around us. It was also our first experience staying at a campground where we needed to back in, so it was all new to us. Our site was perfect. It was right in front of the little fishing lake and was so picturesque. We had a fire ring and picnic table, and we enjoyed taking advantage of the nice weather. While we were eating dinner, some large branches from a tree across the way fell on top of the 5th wheel parked in that site. The camp hosts came right out and took care of it, which I thought was impressive. We missed out on the chance to watch cable, which was one of the amenities, because we hadn't thought to bring a cable cord. But this definitely had more amenities than any other place we stayed throughout our trip. The road noise from the nearby interstate bothered my husband a bit, but I didn't even hear it. We appreciated the checklist reminders on the exit sign as we left the next morning. We really had forgotten to put down our antenna, and that was our reminder! This was our first time in a KOA, and while it probably offers more amenities than we would typically use, we felt like this was a good introduction to the park!

We have a 34 ft class A motor home. We arrived a day earlier than reserved and after office hours. Nonetheless we received a warm welcome and cookies! We were escorted to our back on site and asked if they could do anything else for us. Our site was overlooked a pond. We only stayed overnight, and did not use the restrooms or facilities. This campground is close to I70; it is convenient but somewhat noisy due to proximity to the interstate. We would stay here again on another cross country.
