This is a travelers KOA. Our traveling practice is to stay two days when we stop. So, we have watched this campground fill and then empty. It is a very nice KOA, just not a destination. This is not a huge park, I would call for availability. Check-in was easy and friendly with the owners in a really well stocked camp store. There were souvenirs, as well as lots of basic RV supplies. The grocery selection was the basics, but still fresh and attractive. I was able to buy milk which is always my litmus... Read More

The grocery selection was the basics, but still fresh and attractive. I was able to buy milk which is always my litmus test of a good camp store. The sites were very neat and clean with well placed utilities. There was a picnic table and shade at the sites, neighbors were close but not imposing. Cable was 65 clear channels with no hassle. Wi-Fi bogged down sometimes but over all was good. The roads and sites are gravel, but all around is lush grass. The trees and lawns are verdant and surround the children's playground and a clean and well maintained pool. There are lots of benches, tables and chairs in the green space. There is even a small catch 'n release pond just for kid's fun. A "Nature Trail" has been cut into a bordering woods that offered extensive walks because it was cut as a labyrinth with paths going in every direction. "Weren't we just here?" The laundry looked very nice, clean and well equipped. The real "knockout" were the bathrooms. They are outstanding, or maybe that is astounding. They look brand new and are done in stone tiles and marble, with designer fixtures. The lighting, mirrors, and basin shine. It goes without saying that bathroom and showers were also meticulously clean. These are really pleasant and comfortable bathrooms. We are headed West and doubled back twenty miles for this campground. It was a worthwhile detour. We camped at Sallisaw / Fort Smith West KOA in a Motorhome.

We stopped here for overnight and found it to be more than adequate. The sites are level but it is all gravel. There is a very nice dog park but it needs one more pathway across a small ravine. The registration staff was very helpful and gracious. We did not use the pool but it was very nice. We would definitely stay here again because it was quiet and we were far enough from the interstate that we weren't bothered by the noise.

We stayed here for nearly two months and thoroughly enjoyed our time. The owners and their kids are a joy to be with and their ownership/management of the park includes all of the kids. The sites are all very level and long enough to accommodate a motor coach plus tow. There is a very nice pool and playground on the grounds as well as a catch and release fishing pond. The campground is nicely shaded with all sites having 30/50 amp electricity, water, sewer and free wi-fi and cable service.... Read More

The women's restrooms are beautiful; the men's restrooms are on the schedule to be renovated early in 2016. The location is quite convenient to town, situated just south of I-40 (exit 308) and about 1/2 mile west of OK Hwy 59. It's also reasonably close to Ft Smith which is about 22 miles to the west. Rates are just south of $40 per night with KOA and veteran discounts reducing it to $35.90 per night. No weekly rate is offered but a monthly rate is available. Propane and a store are also on site, making the park even more convenient. We will make this a fixture on our route the next time we're in the area.
