We stayed 5 nights to visit nearby attractions in the area. This was our second stay. The park is a short drive from I-5 (either Exit 232 or 236) along the old highway through rural areas. Limited parking area for check in. The interior roads & parking pads are gravel. The sites are a mixture of back-ins, P/T’s, tents and cabins. We stayed 5 nights to visit nearby attractions in the area. This was our second stay. The park is a short drive from I-5 (either Exit 232 or 236) along the old highway through rural areas. Limited parking area for check in. The interior roads & parking pads are gravel. The sites are a mixture of back-ins, P/T’s, tents and cabins. There is a single lane narrow bridge with steep approach to the aprons between the older section & newer section. There is little to no margin for error on the bridge. In the 201 to 227 section, the interior roads and turns are sufficient to maneuver larger RV’s. These sites were long enough to stay connected to a toad. These sites had sufficient room for opening slides. The orientation of these sites don’t allow RV’s to cast any shade onto the patio side. The parking pads are generally flat & level but some required adjustments to get level. They have full hook ups – water, electricity (50/30/20 AMP), & sewer. The utility connections were towards the middle to rear of the sites. The sewer connection fitting was at about ground level so establishing a downhill flow is dependent on the discharge point. Distance and grassy areas establish privacy between the sites. All sites have an outside table & fire pits but fire were prohibited by the local fire authority. There are trees throughout and along the edges of the park. The only area where the trees pose no obstruction to satellite reception is sites 201 to 227. The other sites have a low to zero possibly for satellite reception as the trees pose significant obstruction depending on site assignment and dish configuration. We were able to get satellite reception in our site with a portable dish. But had to set it on the edge of the site along the road. There is no cable service. The park information didn’t mention anything about OTA broadcast channels. Only able to receive about 5 OTA broadcast channels (line up didn’t include any of the 4 major networks). The park provided password protected WiFi was adequate for email & research. Didn’t use the NET10 phone so don’t know about reception. There was one designated fenced pet area in this area with a gravel surface. There was a bag dispenser and collection station for waste near the fenced pet area. There was sufficient area to walk dogs along the park’s roads. Fees: $15.00 to select site from those available at time of booking. $5.00 per child per day. $15.00 for early arrival fee for getting there about 1.5 hours before check in time of 2 PM. Didn’t get a refund for early departure leaving before 8 AM. Laundry was located at the office. Required driving there but only parking was outside of the park (through the access control gate) in front of the office. The facilities were clean & neat with low usage early in the morning. Wash was either $1.75 or $3.25 depending on size selected. Dry was $2.00. TIP: Seemed to be a popular place so reservations would be recommended. Quite a few activities for children primarily on the weekends during a prior stay. Had a good time with the rental bikes around the park even though the bridge posed a substantial obstacle. Informative park brochure about the local area.
