The railroad runs through this park. If you are a train buff, it is the place to stay. It is a well-established park, with plenty of tress to provide shade for many of the spots. Internal roads and all sites are gravel. There is some grass in some of the spots, but it is struggling. Our row had lost many of the trees, but we still had some shade on our rig. The pull-thru sites are back-to-back, with plenty of space between you and the facing neighbor. You don't have to look at plumbing, which is nice. No cable, and the tall trees did make it difficult to get the satellites we had to be very accurate with the antenna location. The wifi was adequate for e-mail and some browsing. The laundry room was clean but could have used another table for folding. We didn't use the restrooms. They have a lovely, large grassy tent area.

Appeal Rating While the park has appeal being on the river, the upper level sites we were guided to have no cable or sewer hook ups. Most negativily was the sites we were wedged into. We have a 24 ft C class rv and could literally reach out our window and touch our neighbors. So much for rv social distancing. I would never return. Only stay in lower level if you dare come.

Restroom Rating Appeal Rating Nice clean and well kept area. Friendly and helpful staff. We were far from the office but the wi fi still worked reasonably well. Fun to watch the train go by several times a day. I would rate this a 5 if there were more space between the sites.

The grounds are set up with beautiful views, the train comes by in the morning and evening and so fun to see and hear. Trolly access to town is just across the street. We will be back very soon.

Great campground. Very friendly & helpful with area attraction information. The laundry was exceptional, lots of washers & dryers. Sites were easy access & level. The Silverton/Durango RR passed several times a day. I would recommend this campground to all. A very relaxing experience.

Overall Rating Facility Rating Restroom Rating Appeal Rating Made reservations over a month in advance asking for a site close to the lower restroom as we have a family member with MS and limited mobility. I was assured they could accommodate us and indicated one of two sites that they would reserve for us. When we arrived we were told the owner had moved us several sites away from the restrooms. Not a good experience.

Wi-Fi nonexistent except in the laundry room then it's spotty we had full hookup so I didn't look at the restrooms laundry room was all right however they could clean the dryer out because of the residue left by other people after drying
