We arrived a little early and was allowed to check in you must park on the street outside the park until they give you a site. The lady at check in was very nice. We were given a back in space against the fence next to State Highway 1. We have a 26 foot trailer and it was tight getting into the space the street is narrow and the big fifth wheel trailers in the pull through sites across the street are right up against the street not giving much room to cut in to your space. The back in spaces are tight we had enough room to park our Range Rover in the space but people with extra long cab trucks took up all there outdoor space to park. There is a pic nick table at each site but no fire pit, you can supply your own but must be screened. The main dislike was the noise Highway 1 is busy and loud the Amtrack tracks are just across the highway and your close to Grand Ave. crossing so when they come by there horn is blowing. Luckily every thing quiets down after 10 PM We didn't use the restrooms and showers but I suspect the are well maintained as there is only one and you have to have a key if you wish to use them. Streets are paved and sites are gravel and fairly level. No problems with any of the hook ups The park is close to every thing. Easy walk to beach or restaurants, downtown Pismo is only 5 min. driving, This is not our favorite park in the area but we had a nice New Year here and will use it again if need be.
