We arrived on Thursday and left Sunday. The campground is a hidden gem. Full hookups. Only one or two pull throughs, We had no trouble backing into our spot, but it was a little unlevel. The road in is gravel, in good condition. There are two entrances. If you come in on highway 56, just go straight across and you will get there easily. Just be prepared to make a sharp right at the bottom of the road to get in front of the office. If you come up from Thompson Falls, the other entrance is... Read More
We arrived on Thursday and left Sunday. The campground is a hidden gem. Full hookups. Only one or two pull throughs, We had no trouble backing into our spot, but it was a little unlevel. The road in is gravel, in good condition. There are two entrances. If you come in on highway 56, just go straight across and you will get there easily. Just be prepared to make a sharp right at the bottom of the road to get in front of the office. If you come up from Thompson Falls, the other entrance is marked just across a bridge and you will come in font of the office in 1/4 mile of gravel road or so. First impressions as we drove in were less than 4 stars. But it really is a nice park. Quiet after dark. There is a place for campfires and lots of lawn games around the campfire area for the kids and the grown up kids too. There are no fire rings at individual camp sites. There is no cable tv, but we got several stations ota and the price was right. We did not use the restrooms or laundry mat but I took the time to examine them. They were clean and tidy. What more can you ask for? You can buy ice from the office, I think it was $2 for 10 lbs of ice. There is a stack of firewood, take what you want for the fire rings. Also, I think you can rent kayaks. Yes, there is lots of fishing and water near by. Also it looked like the water was quite calm. Not sure what the cost would be. The "City" of Noxon is close, you have to travel across an old one lane bridge to get there. All in all, a nice trip. Likely we will return as it is only about 2 1/2 hours from our font door. I forget what we paid, maybe $25 a night or so. Very reasonable.
