The above rating is not true. I was out of camping for several years but grew up camping at Audubon Park. A few years back we bought another camper to take our grandkids. We found that the campground was closed due to necessary maintenance work. If they don't open this year it will be 3 years since the work started and they keep coming up with one excuse or another as to why it remains closed. At this point if it doesn't open and it appears that it will not I think the chance that it ever will... Read More

I hate this there is so many memories as a kid growing up and think the grandkids would also enjoy and looked forward to making new memories with them. Come on Kentucky, what is it going to be?

4 4 out of 5 stars 07/11/2017

Small campground tucked between the 4 -lane and the State park. While adequate, this park is well used. Everything was clean, but a little tired. We didn't have reservations, just pulled in the night of ( weeknight) and had 3 spots to choose from. Bathrooms were clean, campground was pleasant, the museum was outstanding! If you stay at the park, you get 50% off the museum. Water/electric/dump station was fine.
