Campground is what it is at a budget friendly price close to the sites. My family appreciated the pool while I set up camp, an almost rarity in this price range. Campground was quiet and staff was friendly with lots of helpful tips to see the sights. We did not use the bathrooms or showers, so cannot comment.
This is not a KOA and was not rated to compare it to one. I based my rating off my experiences in this price point especially so close to tourist sites.
This place is pretty rough I don't think it has seen any updates since 1978. The WiFi does work but only if you are sitting at the office. The roads are terrible huge pot holes and broken black top. Checked with the office about the WiFi and was told WIFi will not go through walls no m,atter how good a system is. After driving 10 hours I forgot to mention my GoodSam Club card and they didnt ask. When I followed up I was told I had to present my card at check in. It wasn't worth an argument. We will use the campground next trip. I would skip this one.
Greatly disappointed in this place. Old and run down. Not well maintained. Many long term road workers. The sites are tight and it's right next to the railroad. The showers are decent. It'll do if you have no where else to go but I won't be back.
This place could certainly use some care and updating. The electric boxes they have are mostly 30 amps I'm guessing because they put big rigs right beside us and that is when we got a big power surge or something. We were watching tv with a desk fan on and it surged so bad that our Dish box started smoking. Now we have no cable, they provide cable here for 1.50 extra. This place is old and needs everything updated.
Only stayed here one night on our way west. Easy to get to on Loop 90. This park is in town and you can walk to the main street and Wall Drug. It is a basic facility and the restrooms were clean. The pool looked nice but we had no time to enjoy. Would stay here again.
