This land is owned by the Water Management District, but the campground is run by a Veteran's organization. It's a great place to get a away from the city. Trenton has some interesting shops. The Suwanee River is close by. Manatees can be viewed at Fanning Springs State Park nearby. Beware of dusty conditions from the campground roads when dry. The bathrooms are in need of improvements but functional. The staff is excellent. Most sites are level. Many sites have shade.

Our stay was very pleasant. It was very quite and definitely had the feeling of being away from it all. Lots of shaded site. Most, if not all, are pull thru sites. Enclosed pool was nice although not heated. But we enjoyed it. The spring was really the only disappointment. It is very small but refreshing in the hot sun. Perfect for smaller kids. There are also a few trails to walk or bike ride. The deer flies were pretty heavy so that kept us off the trail. The bathrooms are a bit outdated.... Read More

We enjoyed a nice camp fire with some new people we meet. The camp host and check in were all very pleasant. All in all we enjoyed our stay and we will definitely go back

Read this entire review. Check-in staff nice. First off, with a little effort, you can bike 3 miles outside the camp ground to a GREAT 32 mile paved bike path (5 stars). You can take a 1.5 mile nature walk that gets you to the Suwannee River and you can kayak from the "very tiny" Otter springs (which was under heavy maintenance), to the river (3 stars). The on 'sandy shaded bare camp lots', you get all hookups (3 stars). Very distracting was the terribly dirty bathrooms near pool, urinal broken,... Read More

Wifi doesn't work unless you are inside or very near enclosed pool...where only kids pack the place. That said, this "mostly tents and 5th wheel camp location remains a good spot if you wish to ride bikes or ride the river a bit...and you have your own bathroom facilities...
