Nice staff. Nice facility. Easy back in site. easily accommodated 41' 5th. Deer in nearly every yard in town. 13 Deer in one yard. MUST eat at the diner on South side of town, closed Wed/Thur. Campground and town services have seasonal hours and campground is not open all year.

The nicest and quietest RV Park we stayed in this year. Very spacious and well groomed sites. Bathrooms and showers were clean and worked great. Very quiet with a nice stream running along west side. Friendly accommodating owners.

We stayed at this charming little place for one evening. Our site backed up to the river, but we couldn't really access it to fish. It was relaxing to hear the water in the evening. Our site was long and narrow, the WiFi was good. We weren't there long enough to enjoy the amenities and explore the town, but we will return. The staff was very friendly.

Very nice, clean park located just before you get into La Veta from HWY 160 west. The 50 Amp sites back up directly to the Cuchara River which was flowing swiftly while we were there. Big rig access is easy. Spaces are wide enough for comfort, long enough for our 37 with tow. Each site has a nice little picnic table. Electric was steady, water pressure good. The park wifi worked very well, we experienced no drops or delays with it. The owners are present on site and are very pleasant to work... Read More

The park wifi worked very well, we experienced no drops or delays with it. The owners are present on site and are very pleasant to work with, check in was easy and quick. The owner is very knowledgeable about the area and gives good advice on what to do and see. There is a washer/dryer room, showers and a library. We didn't use the showers or restrooms, but everything in the building was clean and neat. There were two issues that kept us from giving this park a 5 star, first, too many dogs off leash in the park and on the roads around the park. In one case, the owner did intervene and tell the owner they had to leash the dog, but of course, the minute her back was turned, the dog was off leash again. And second, there is no access to the river for those not in the 50A back in sites, so people just cut thru occupied spaces to get to the river. Other that those two things, it's a great place to stay and we would probably stay here again while in the area.

Very nice small RV park in La Veta. The whole area is very scenic and has a lot to visit and explore. The park is within walking/biking distance to town. The sites are gravel and mostly right-angle back-ins, but there is plenty of maneuvering room. Depending on the site location, there are shade trees and river frontage. WIFI was excellent, and cable was available using a supplied box. The restrooms and laundry were clean and in good condition. There is a small lounge with books, and a free DVD... Read More

There was a common fire pit that was in use every night for casual get-togethers. Deer would causally walk by in an open area behind our RV. This is a nice place in a beautiful location (7,000' elevation). Very nice management. Overall, our experience was great and would recommend it. Would return.

This is a lovely, small park, well maintained, with wonderful outdoor areas, flowers, decor, patios and firepit. There is a stream behind the park, it was enjoyable to listen to the water flowing by. You are in a rural area, we awoke to roosters crowing and horses whinnying. There was a nice game room and library. The owners are very personable and friendly, she has a little shop with crafts and quilts, you could even sign up for a quilting weekend. The town of La Veta is small, but has a few... Read More

Exceptional quiet park 1 mile outside the quant town of La Veta, CO. Wide and level gravel sites, many with huge cottonwood trees, all back-in. No discounts offered. No OTA reception or cable, so bring your Dish or watch free DVDs from the office. Very friendly owners, who give out lots of info and a free "gift". Bath and laundry are spotless. Lots of grass; entire park is basically a dog park and very pet friendly as long as you pick-up/dispose correctly. Would definitely give a "10" rating if... Read More

Don't forget to custom order your beautifully embroidered "Happy Camper" sweatshirt. I would stay here a month or longer just to visit the quirky town and surrounding area!
