Don't let the name fool you, the river is at least a mile away. Good Sam needs to actually visit the places they rate. Appeal is an 8? NO WAY!!! Most here are full timers with junk all around their immovable trashed-out trailers. When it rains this will be a mud pit. Many of the trailers have old dilapidated decks attached and makeshift storage buildings. The only good thing is that it appears to be safe.

This is one park we will never frequent again. Pictures are deceiving. The roads were pock marked and filled with standing water. Places i]of permanent residence were strewn with trash. We could not access the cable TV. The park was secluded and quiet but overall it was not an attractive site.

Stayed here overnight in April 2015. We were going to stay longer but the entire park is gravel cinders and filled with persons either working in Houston or living there permanently. Very Very old trailers with lots of junk piled up. We barely could stay the one night. No one showed up at the office when we pulled in. The person available on the sign, was not in his trailer. Had to wait and wait just to park.We got a refund - reservations made by phone for the 2nd night (they did not ask us why)... Read More
