This may be the worst managed RV Park in the country! Weeds have over run most campsites and if the weeds have been cut they are in piles in the site. If you try to call them is an estimated 55 minute wait. More than a dozen people had to move to different campsites do to mismanaged bookings of spots. You could not move to the new spot until the other people moved out of their spot. Their excuse for this is Coronavirus. The poor old maintenance man and only maintenance man(at least 70 yrs old) says they are short of staff because all the workers are on unemployment and would not come back to work. They said on their website that everything is open but that is not true. No one in campground office at all and for any information you have to go across the Hwy to main offices where the was 10 people deep at 11 am. You would think that with all the Coronavirus problems they are having they would book maybe 50% of spaces or discount the rates for tolerating the bad conditions, But no way, booked to full capacity and at full price, Beautiful surroundings but never again,

We had reserved a place for our 36 foot class A several weeks ahead. We were told the spot we would have was large enough for a 40 foot coach. When we got to the entrance, we sat in the left turn lane for over 5 minutes waiting for room to pull in, then sat in line for another 20 minutes before being able to register. The reason for the delay, only 1 person at the counter to check-in guests. When we got to our site (number 114) the site was just barely long enough for our coach and was anything... Read More

When we got to the entrance, we sat in the left turn lane for over 5 minutes waiting for room to pull in, then sat in line for another 20 minutes before being able to register. The reason for the delay, only 1 person at the counter to check-in guests. When we got to our site (number 114) the site was just barely long enough for our coach and was anything but level. Leveling the coach with blocks under the jacks, the front wheels were 2 to 3 inches off of the ground. The picnic table at our site was on the side of a hill that made it unusable due to the slope and "our firepit" was closer to the site next to us, which became even more of a problem when the people next to us tried to park their trailer. He wasn't very good at backing in and nearly hit our awning on several occasions, which we finally retracted to prevent it from being hit. Once parked, our awning was almost touching the side of his trailer. The final straw was when we hooked up the cable and got no reception. I went to the office to ask if there was a problem with the cable and was told "someone" would come and look at it. At that point, we decided to leave. I went to the office and explained my dissatisfaction with our spot and the campground in general and they said they would refund the second day charge, but since we had checked in and hadn't given them sufficient notice, we would be charged for the one day. The site we were put in should never be used by anyone due to it being so out of level and the hillside making use of the table a joke. As for the cable, never did see anyone to see why we weren't getting anything. I guess you jam as many people in as possible to "earn a buck"! The only "plus" for the park is its proximity to Lake Tahoe.

Beautiful, well maintained campground. Would have been a nice experience to stay there if we hadn't been double billed for both nights we stayed there. Once they get your credit card number at checkin, they help themselves to your card any time they want, authorized or not. The last billing took place after we were already home. The worst part though is the way staff handled the situation when we brought it to their attention. The campground cashier was very rude and condescending, rolling her... Read More

The worst part though is the way staff handled the situation when we brought it to their attention. The campground cashier was very rude and condescending, rolling her eyes at us like a child and repeatedly denying there was a problem no matter what evidence we provided to the contrary. Had to demand a manager to get any help resolving the issue. After all of this, the campground double billed us again the next morning. Finally got my refund for the double billed portion a week later after multiple calls and emails. No other compensation was offered to correct our experience. These people obviously don't care if you have a pleasant experience.

I would have given an overall rating of 4 but the showers were so bad. The office and adjoining building the showers are in looks ok from the outside but i was shocked to see how bad the showers were! Sheetrock was very water damaged and moldy. Even the shower head was moldy! The RV park is located right across the street from the Lodge and Beach and boat dock. If you bring a dog they are not allowed on the main beach but are allowed on the north end of their resort. Due to the high lake level there... Read More

There were 6 people with chairs and if felt crowded. I'm sure it's better when the lake is lower. Our site was next to the road which was convenient for walking across to the beach and lodge. We ate at the lodge one afternoon and the food was ok, the service was very slow.

Close proximity to Lake Tahoe (just across the highway) is a big plus. Fairly crowded park, with more the feel of a steep parking lot than an RV park. It's right along the highway by the lake, so there is constant traffic noise. We were there during "Street Vibrations" in nearby Carson City, so were constantly assailed by the roar of motorcycles and trucks going by. Still, the full hookups had water, power, sewer, and even cable TV. Wi-fi was supposedly available, but it was pathetically slow... Read More

We were there during "Street Vibrations" in nearby Carson City, so were constantly assailed by the roar of motorcycles and trucks going by. Still, the full hookups had water, power, sewer, and even cable TV. Wi-fi was supposedly available, but it was pathetically slow most of the time, and often unusable. The restrooms, while tended to daily so that supplies were stocked and sinks and stools cleaned, really needed a good mopping out. And be forewarned, when you arrive from the north the sign directing you to the RV park is wrong: it will tell you to turn right into the resort area, which is no-man's land for RVs. We were caught by this, and saw a half-dozen other big rigs get caught as well. While we enjoyed our stay, that was almost entirely due to location and beautiful fall weather.

We unfortunately got caught without a reservation on a weekend. The name caught our attention, and having had experience with the resort itself felt that the $82 nightly charge was high, but considering it was at the resort we made reservations for two nights. As we arrived, we discovered the RV spots were across the street in a rustic campground, not the resort. Note the reservation was taken by the off-site central booking agency Amamark; on arrival we found they had double booked us. The desk clerk, made us call the reservation number again to confirm we had made a reservation. Finally the other clerk, drove around and found an empty slot, the last one in the campground. Worst camping experience ever, never could get the unit leveled. Note picture of picnic table which had been previously leveled by a big rock - totally unsafe. When we checked with adjacent camper as to why we couldn't get the cable to work we were told the front desk should have given you a converter box. When I walked back all the way down the hill, the desk clerk told me she had forgotten to tell us about that and had we called we could have saved us a walk down and back up the hill. So we couldn't watch TV that night. Tried for a good hour to connect with WiFi, and when asked the same clerk about it she told us, well you are in the trees. We were so fed up that we checked out a day early. When asked about a credit because we didn't get the cable and WiFi we had asked for when we booked, we were told those were "free" services they gave us.
