This is a small quiet park where you can sit back an listen to the wind whispering through the pine trees. Plenty of shaded sites which certainly helped during the mid-day heat. The weekend we stayed the temp was 102 but thanks to the shade, the air conditioners in our 36ft Allegro Motor Home had no problems keeping up. Each site has a fire ring and picnic table, the sites are wide so everyone has plenty of space. On arrival, the owners met us at the office. The check in process was quick... Read More
This is a small quiet park where you can sit back an listen to the wind whispering through the pine trees. Plenty of shaded sites which certainly helped during the mid-day heat. The weekend we stayed the temp was 102 but thanks to the shade, the air conditioners in our 36ft Allegro Motor Home had no problems keeping up. Each site has a fire ring and picnic table, the sites are wide so everyone has plenty of space.
On arrival, the owners met us at the office. The check in process was quick and painless. We were escorted to our site and were offered assistance setting up if needed. The store, while small, had plenty of those commonly forgotten items...which I needed to take advantage of twice. While it was hot enough I didn't build a fire, they also sold firewood.
When we had problems getting our jacks to retract on departure, I notified the owner we would not be able to get away by check out time. I offered to pay additional, but they assured me it was no problem for us to wait while roadside assistance bailed us out. The owner even ran to a close by store to pick up a couple of things for me.
The campground was not packed the weekend we stayed but the people there were friendly and polite. Dogs were kept on leash and people were not cutting through others campsites.
Now, things that don't bother me in the least, but might some other campers. The sites are gravel and I know some people don't like that. The trees offer ample shade, but might interfere with satellite reception if you have a roof-top unit. We did not use the restrooms/showers so I have no rating for them.
If you are looking for quiet and relaxation, Rock'N E is a good park to check out.
