This park's entrance is a preview to the rest of the park. With the exception of a small section, there are old growth trees on almost all the sites. These provided welcomed shade during the hot days of July. The level site had a generous slab and grass. Most of the roads were paved, except for one small section. The staff were helpful and efficient. There were many wood carvings scattered around the park that gave it interest and character. The town of Olathe has a few businesses but it's... Read More

The town of Olathe has a few businesses but it's main street was mostly closed. However, Montrose, which is about 10 miles away, had many good restaurants, grocery stores, and shops downtown. We had excellent food and service at Ted Nelson's Steakhouse on Rose Lane and Trattoria di Sofia on Townsend. The location was convenient to Ouray, Silverton, Grand Mesa, Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Gunnison Gorge, Ute Indian Museum, and Ridgeway State Park. There were only two concerns. The cable did not work while we were there and the mosquitos prevented me from spending much time outside enjoying the evenings under the trees and talking to the other campers. ( My repellent couldn't keep these mosquitoes away from me.). But, in spite of these pests, I would stay at this park again.

We just completed a week stay at Uncompahgre River RV Park. It is a work in progress and the recent improvements are obvious. We stayed in the south section near the river. On Google Earth it appears the road is gravel and no grass in this section but the road is now paved and there is now grass. The owners are great and take pride in their park. We will definitely stay again when in the area. It is a great base from which to explore the area.

This RV park is quiet with shaded and sunny sites, abundant grass and flowers, all meticulously maintained. A serene pond is in the middle of the park and the restrooms and showers and laundry facility are immaculate. The owners are very nice and the wi-fi reception is better than I have at home. I highly recommend this park.

Clean, superbe access and egress, quiet, great power and water, blazing internet, one of the best places we have ever been. Cutest design , sites flat and sweet. OK!! old people, guess what if you aint one u might get lucky and be one. Stay more than a nite. RATING 10 all the way.

Wow, what a beautiful campground. 55+ seniors campground, all sites on concrete pad with patio. All full hookup. We were there two weeks prior to annual closing so was pretty empty. Good wi fi, cable, and beautiful grounds. My wife said you could eat off the floor in the laundry room, restrooms were individual with a shower in each. Spotless! We will stay again when in the area. My dog especially appreciated the thick green grass and promptly did a 2 minute roll after being in the desert country... Read More
