We were very excited to stay at Denton Ferry after reading many reviews and checking their GoodSam rating. After much deliberation, we decided on one of their sites and made our reservation in early March. We received positive emails from them about our upcoming trip, right up to a few days before. Imagine our dismay when after all that and a 6-hour drive to arrive and have another camper in the spot we reserved! While we understand their policy " reserve the right to move you to a comparable site," if a camper decides to stay longer than their reservation - we thought the people would at least be there. They were not. The campground is indeed very well kept, but the customer service is very poor. Instead of calling us the day before to explain the situation, they sent an email on the day we were to arrive - which we did not receive until we arrived at the campground because we were on the road early. I was very displeased with the manner in which this was handled and so when I received a request from Denton Ferry to give them a rating I gave them a 1 - because I thought the customer service was rotten. I wasn't expecting any follow-up although the owner called me shortly after I sent my review to them. That was certainly the worst customer service ever! Did he call to say how sorry he was? Ask how he could address the issue? Anything like that? No, he did not. Instead what he did do was bully and berate me for my rating. I asked why did he call me? He wanted to know why the site was not as good as the other site and when I tried to start listing the things which I was unhappy about he just talked over me about how well kept his campground is and the reason why the other camper was there (supposed family emergency - at that point it is my opinion that Denton Ferry should have disconnected and moved the camper instead of treating the site as a storage spot.) He tried to assassinate my character too by saying that I must be a sad and horrid individual to let a move to a different site "ruin your vacation." NOTE: it did not - we had a very nice time as we spent most of our days over on the Buffalo River. He said he spoke with my travel companions and they did not say anything to him about their displeasure. Because they did not want to get into a heated discussion. Other things to note about the Denton Ferry campgrounds - there is one small staircase to the river at the bottom of a steep grade there is one "outlook" deck with one picnic table - which is usually occupied by the nearest campers the firepits are supposed to be communal though they seem to be used by the campers closest to them. The sewer PVC stems were several inches too tall and so you will want to take something to elevate your sewer line so that it will drain properly. Also, the site that we had chosen was at the end of a row, had plenty of space, a fire pit, and a lovely view. Instead, we had a view of the backside of the camper next to us in a much narrower site. I was very disappointed in our experience and even more so in the manner in which the owner addressed my rating. It is almost as if you have an unpleasant experience don't tell anyone about it. That certainly isn't the right way to address it either. While we will never camp there again I certainly don't expect everyone to have the same experience and it was a lovely campsite. I hope that Denton Ferry has learned how to be more customer-friendly when they need to move someone, as well as how to behave when they do receive a bad rating. Happy Camping!

This campground was very nice. Great location in the Ozarks. The owner, Doug was very helpful giving us information of things to see in the area. Very friendly and nice clean facilities. We will visit again!

This park has the most accommodating owners We have ever encountered. Park is directly on the White River just down from Bull Shoals Dam and you can't beat the scenery. All sites are spacious and we'll maintained. Clean electric and good water pressure. Ice and firewood on honor system. Bill and Doug will go out of their way to accommodate any need you may have. If you like to trout fish-there is no better place in America. And, if you don't fish there are bike and hiking trails all along the river. If there is a negative it is that there are only 40 sites-and everyone wants one.

Really nice park. Very quiet and clean. Beautiful grassy area for the dogs. Sites were large with plenty of space between sites. We stayed in a 42ft motorhome. A couple of long term residents but overall, a nice experience. Restrooms were really clean. We would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay here. Very clean facility and Bill was always very helpful. We had an issue with our hitch when we first arrived and he directed us to an RV repair man who came out on site for a minimum service call fee. We will stay here again.

This is our 1st stop on our way West for the year. We usually stay March & April, then come back and stay October & November, before heading back East for the family & holidays! We spend eight months of the year RVing all over the U.S. Denton Ferry is at the top of our list of campgrounds. The campground is located right on the White River. All you have to do is put on your boots and walk down a short path to some of the best trout fishing in the lower 48.Denton Ferry is centrally located between the Bull Shoals Dam area and the Norfork river. The biggest Brown trout in the U.S come out of the White River system. Guides are available at reasonable rates. Sites are great size for easy pull thru or back in to river sites. Plenty of activities for all in area, shopping, antiquing, & thrift stores. There is always something going on at Bull Shoals Theater, and the Arkansas State University. Cotter has a Trout Festival in May. The "Sowbug Roundup" is a 3 day fly tying & fly fishing show held in Mountain Home in March. Mountain View has several festivals and is a nice day trip. Excellent walking path runs from campground to Cotter Springs. Owners are always accommodating & helpful. Excellent clean & affordable laundry facilities. The bathrooms are well cared for. A great home feel when away from home. We highly recommend it!

Very nice campground. Staff were very nice and helpful. I would strongly recommend campground to anyone. The only negative would be the lack of additional/overflow parking. Only 1 car per site, but no overflow parking lot exists.

Perfect place for some of the best trout fishing ever. There is wade in access as well as boat ramps in the area with nearby guide and boat rentals. The park is kept very clean as are the shower and laundry facilities. WIFI was a bit weak in some areas of the park. The park is relatively new and there is very little shade except for the sites nearest the river. The owner/operators are some of the nicest and most hospitable people you'll ever meet.
