We stayed 3 nights to visit some attractions in the area. The park is located on SR-136. The transition apron needs some fill to decrease the angle and soften the transition. The interior roads are unpaved. The interior roads and turns are sufficient to maneuver larger RV’s for an experienced driver. The sites are generally level and flat. The parking pads are gravel. The sites are a mixture of pull throughs in the middle and back ins along the outer perimeter. Some of the P/T sites were... Read More

The sites are a mixture of pull throughs in the middle and back ins along the outer perimeter. Some of the P/T sites were long enough to stay connected to towed. Sites had sufficient room for opening slides. No obvious signs of extended stay sites. Privacy established by distance and site amenities. They have full hook ups – water, electricity (50/30/20 AMP), & sewer. The utility connections were about mid site. Sewer fitting at ground level so establishing a downhill flow would be dependent upon discharge point. There was an outside table and BBQ. Park landscape is still maturing so there are no real obstructions to satellite reception. Was able to receive DISH programming using a portable dish sitting on the ground. No cable and scan showed no OTA channels. The park provided password protected WiFi was surprisingly good for checking email and gathering travel information. Didn’t try the NET10 phone so don’t know about reception. There is a designated fenced pet area at the end of the park with a dirt surface and bag dispenser/waste collection station. Dumpsters available for disposal. There was sufficient area to walk dogs along the park’s roads. Laundry was $2.00 per wash or dry. 3 sets of machines but one set was broken. We didn’t use the showers/restrooms. We would probably stay here again if traveling through the area. TIP: The road through Monument Valley is extremely rough. Saw low clearance vehicles attempting the road but would not recommend it.

Fantastic customer service. Had a damaged propane regulator and their mechanic spent a considerable amount of time helping me. The friendly person at the counter and customer service was above excellent. Thank You.

The KOA is located right off US 163 giving great views of the formations that make Monument Valley famous. Unfortunately the KOA is on the sparse side as far as amenities. The bathrooms were typical of a state park campground. The wifi was non-existent even during the off hours which is inconvenient given that the park is also in a cell coverage dead zone. Given the poor amenities and the relatively high nightly rate, we will look for other options when visiting this area. See our full reviews... Read More
