Staff was friendly, sites were reasonably spaced and level, all the hook-ups worked well. It's far enough off I-80 so that you don't even hear the freeway. It was perfect for a stop-over while traveling through on I-80. The relatively low "appeal" rating reflects more on the location than the park. If you're looking for a reasonably-priced stop on your way across Nevada, we would stay here again.

Great stop after traveling east on Highway 95 through the High Desert for 3 hours. Far enough away from Highway 80 that road noise is very minimal. Minor leveling, but wide spaces between sites and paved roadway. Nicely laid out, they obviously put a lot of thought into the park. Doggie park is big and centrally located. I did a pull through for my class C towing a car. Perfect length with shade trees. I did not use restrooms or laundry, but the main office, lounge and store were very spacious... Read More

We stayed 1 night twice while passing through the area. The park is a short drive from I-80 (Exit 180) along paved rural & city street on the edge of town. The interior roads are paved. The interior roads and turns are sufficient to maneuver larger RV’s. The sites are a mixture of back-ins and pull throughs. Although the park was built on a slope, the sites were slightly tiered but difficult to get level as there is a bi-directional pitch. The parking pads are pavement. The P/T sites were... Read More

Although the park was built on a slope, the sites were slightly tiered but difficult to get level as there is a bi-directional pitch. The parking pads are pavement. The P/T sites were long enough to stay connected to a towed but it seemed to get level towables were disconnecting. Sites had sufficient room for opening slides. The utility connections were on the uphill side of parking pad about midway along the site but some distance from the site. They have full hook ups – water, electricity (50/30/20 AMP), & sewer. The sewer connection was slightly above the ground so it could be difficult to establish a downhill flow depending on discharge point. There was an outside table but no fire pits. Distance and gravel areas establish privacy between the sites. Some of the sites appear to be extended stay sites. There were trees scattered throughout the park so satellite reception would be dependent upon your site and dish configuration. Was able to receive DISH programming using a portable dish sitting on the table. Park no longer offers cable TV. The park brochure made no mention of OTA channels. Was able to get 22 OTA including the 4 major networks. Didn’t try the park’s provided password protected WiFi or NET10 phone so can’t comment on either. There was 1 designated fenced pet area with gravel surface located towards the middle of the park. It had a waste collection station in the fenced pet area. There was sufficient area to walk dogs along the park’s roads. There were waste bag dispensers around the park and several dumpsters for disposal. We didn’t use the showers/restrooms or laundry. Probably would not stay here again if traveling through the area.

Easy access, wide pads and extremely clean. The staff is super friendly and helpful, this stop is a good midpoint for us and will definitely be back.

This is our second time staying at the New Frontier RV Park and loved it as much as the first time we stayed last fall. Nicely spaced campgrounds, close enough to the freeway for easy access but far enough where you can not hear it. Easy to book a space online and the staff is friendly. It’s a great place to spend the night after a long drive. We will be back again!

We love this campground in Winnemucca. Beautiful view of the mountains, clean park, nice campsites and new facilities if you need them. Office staff very friendly and helpful. And the town is historic, with a good Mexican restaurant. What else can you ask for in a stay as you head east or west.

This is a very nice RV park! We stayed one night in our 17 foot hybrid. We travel with our doodle, Daffodil. The restrooms were AMAZING the nicest I've ever seen. We were traveling back to CA after visiting with family in West Yellowstone. Very quiet park. We will stay here again!

We stayed one night mid-April in 35' class A with toad. This is a mixture of semi-permanent fixed cabins and long pull through sites. Sites are plenty long to not unhook for a quick overnight, good hook-ups, pretty quiet due to park design. Did not use other facilities. We have stayed here before passing through and will likely stay again.

5 5 out of 5 stars 10/01/2021

Nice RV campground, nicely spaced sites and a wide road between sites. Easy access and far enough away from the freeway so that it is quite. We would definitely come back.

Newer park with paved roads and spacious RV sites. There is no grass between sites, small trees, and the grounds are well kept. WIFI wasn't the best. It is located far enough off the highway so hardly any road noises. The restrooms and showers are nice and clean. The dog park was a good size with grass. There was a row or so of cabins that were occupied and quite a few trailers at the end of the park with permanent residents but all were quiet and clean. Staff was very helpful. I definitely would... Very nice park with paved roads and long wide pads that are easy to access. No grass to speak of just gravel in between sites but the grounds are well kept. A few small trees but no shade really. All utilities worked great including WiFi and cable TV. It was quiet at night, the highway noise was just a distant hum that didn't bother us light sleepers at all. Pulled in as it was getting dark and Walmart was my next option. Fortunate to get a site. Sites are large, roads are wide. Everything works. I have stayed at several parks in Winnemucca and this is the best in my experience. With a VERY competitive price. I didn't experience the restrooms-showers. Easy on-off I80, but far enough off the road to lessen the din.

5 5 out of 5 stars 04/06/2021

Overall an excellent RV park with among the finest showers and restrooms we have ever experienced. The only downside was their almost worthless wifi, even with the park only half full, and even in the morning when people are not consuming bandwidth watching movies.

Beautifully maintained and clean RV park. Back in sites are gravel and drive through are paved. Sites are well spaced with trees between, some areas being newer with smaller trees. Several dozen cabins are available to rent. Bathrooms were huge with several large showers and it was immaculate. Walked next door to Wingers Roadhouse Bar and Grill where they had appetizers, burgers and sandwiches

One night say. This is a well kept facility in the middle of know-where. Unfortunately for me, I work while I am traveling and the WIFI is non existent! Checked with the nice lady in the office and she seemed well aware of the issue, Interestingly, I have been in some other Good Sam sites even further out in the boonies that had service. That said, if you want a VERY nice place to stay and don't care about data connectivity this is a great place. If you need Internet service you may want to keep... Read More

40' Motorhome-towing. Fairly new place with nice asphalt pull-thrus. Easy in and out for big rigs. Didn't use any restrooms or showers. Quiet and easy access.

The most recent review comments are still valid. It has nicely prepared RV spots. Only downsides are, as it was raining & snowing, the gravel covered dirt at the hookups became squishy and muddy, and, there won't be not much shade for the summer months as the trees are still young. After a snowfall the RV park roads were cleared with an onsite plow so getting out to the main roads and interstate was easy. I would stay here again.

The interior roads and turns are sufficient to maneuver larger RV's. The sites are a mixture of back-ins and pull thrus. Although the staff was very, very accommodating when we had a flat tire on site and said to not worry about checking out at 11am, I have to say the shower room I used was really in need of renovation. At least change the shower curtains. They looked bad. Otherwise, the park was great.

Newer rv park which is set up really well. Large level paved sites. When the trees mature, it will be beautiful. Easy in and out. Would certainly stay here again.

We stopped here for an overnight stay on our way to Illinois from California. This place is Wonderful. The bathrooms were so clean and beautiful. They had private showers and it was nice and warm. Considering how cold it was outside. The staff was so friendly when we checked in. And very pet friendly. This will now be our go to stop each time we travel home and back. You can't beat the rate either. Plus cable and WiFi. Thank you for such a wonderful stay.

4 4 out of 5 stars 09/16/2016

The only reason I am giving this an overall rating of 4 is because they have no grass around the sites. Otherwise, this is a very nice facility. Each site has a picnic table and the sites are LONG which is great! The property is adjacent to a small casino and restaurant and the are very nice there. They have a good size dog park. The park is very large with lots of sites for RVs and trailers and they have LOTS of small cabins for overnight stays.

5 5 out of 5 stars 07/30/2016

Very clean and new campground that can accommodate any RV. Very nice area of town free of noise and residences. A definite go to place for an overnight stay.

Came in for an overnight stay in our fifth wheel. Super nice place - looks brand new! Facility and park are very clean. Laundry room was large, and like everything else, new. Level drive thru was extremely long. I stayed attached to my 30 ft trailer and had loads of room in front and behind my rig. Would recommend this site to anyone coming thru this area.

5 5 out of 5 stars 07/07/2016

A beautiful, clean, nearly new facility with a helpful staff. Laundry is large and fairly priced.

5 5 out of 5 stars 06/27/2016

This was our second stay here and we enjoyed it once again! They have paved the Pull thru sites and the trees are getting big enough to provide some shade. I just hope they put in a pool so we could cool off a bit.

5 5 out of 5 stars 06/06/2016

Very beautiful, clean facility. Plenty of space both for getting around and privacy. Excellent restaurant, cute small casino, clean and new laundry facility. Very friendly staff.

4 4 out of 5 stars 05/07/2016

We loved the restrooms, and the sites were very level, which meant easy setup. It just didn't have any pizazz to it. All the small cabins surrounding the campground took away the appeal.

We found this park by the sign as we were leaving the highway and pulled in to register. The clerk was very helpful and explained everything well. Even though there is no shrubbery to separate the the sites, they are large and have good spacing. The surrounding scenery is also a plus. The rest rooms are spacious and clean. The only downside to the rest rooms is that they are open to people using the Community room. The park is large with over 100 campsites as well as bungalows and larger... Read More
