This is a very clean and well maintained park. The sites are paved and level with large fire pit/grill. Great view of thunderstorm/lightening over Colorado Springs. We stayed in site 50 which blocked the wind some during the storm. Had view of the city below but did have one camper in front of us. Like my site better than theirs though. Oh they are doing a trial run allowing pets on about four trails through August 31st.

This is a great place to stay! The park is well maintained and clean. Tremendous views of Colorado Springs, especially at night. All of the amenities, except wifi and cable tv, were readily available (but who needs those in such a beautiful setting?). The roads were in excellent condition and the sites were paved an level. Be aware that dogs are not allowed on any of the trails. Deer, rabbits and turkeys were all seen from our windows in one day. Very quiet except for taps and reveille sounding... Read More

Don't miss this park. It is so clean and spacious and has wonderful views of Colorado Springs. There are lots of hiking trails (dogs not allowed though), fun activities, a great laundry facility that only charges $1.50 per load and a cute gift shop. Best of all you can hear Taps being played at night and reveille being played in the morning from nearby Fort Carson during the week. We have stayed there twice for two nights and both times were perfect. It fills up fast so get a reservation or... Read More

It's one of the best campgrounds we've found in our 10 years of RV trips.
