Very enjoyable park with lost of trees, staff was very friendly and nice, we were placed in their new Big Rig area where TV Satellite reception was superb. Looking foreword to staying there again.

The appeal of this campground is its close proximity to Colorado Springs without having to pull an RV through the city. It also has beautiful large old trees as you drive in. We didn't spend much time at the campground and so cannot speak to amenities however we did note that while we stayed after Labor Day (lower rates?) the pool was closed as were any other outdoor activities. Any other amenities that appeared available all dated back to the 1970s. The most limiting feature was the lack of... Read More

We booked well over two months in advance yet the site we were given was at the north end of the park which was an absolutely barren sand/gravel lot with hook-ups and plenty of water puddles. The park is right off I-25 which is extremely busy and loud 24 hours/day. Extremely high rates and no refund if you need to cancel even a day. Very disappointing.

The lady at check in was rude, not helpful and should be fired. First site was a very narrow, rut filled dirt trail we would not have gotten in without bottoming out. Had to use 4 wheel drive to get out of that mess. Went back to check in and treated horribly by same lady. Asked for assistance and was told no!!! Some really nice campers did help us out fortunately. Second sight was easier to get to but backing in to the site with large trees and other campers was not easy. We did not... Read More

We did not use any of the amenities so no comment. Location is great and lots of campers here but if you have a Big rig your patience will be tested. The web. Site asks for rig size but it goes from 36 to 40. They need to add 38 ft as an option. Always ask for a larger site.

Great campsite with a great community of employees, volunteers, members and guests! Plenty of activities, plenty of shade (main campground), and always a friendly face around each corner!

We stayed here the week of Aug 9th, 2015. It is a great family facility with a lot of activities an things to do; nature hikes, fishing pond, park, game room, pool, hot tubs, horseshoes, camp store, laundry facilities, etc. Being full timers and needing a 50 amp hook up, there were very limited spaces that could accommodate our size (45') and therefore we were put up in their dirt lot area with no shade trees. My understanding is that they have only a handful of 50 amp spots in the main park (trees,... Read More

My understanding is that they have only a handful of 50 amp spots in the main park (trees, shade, close to activities). The facilities are adequate (restrooms, laundry, store) but the park itself is 40+ years old, therefore so are the buildings with very little upgrades, but nothing that would keep you from using them. Staff was very nice. Grounds well kept. The 50 amp sites are fairly close together. All in all, we were very happy that we were able to find space at all as most of the front range seems to be completely booked for months at a time.
