Great convenient location. Easy check in. Roads are gravel and could use a new layer of gravel to fill potholes. Beautiful hills around you. Quiet. New bathrooms were clean and private. Pool was clean. Facilities could use a cleanup and fresh coat of paint. Gorgeous evenings full of stars

Most of the good sites are taken by regulars. Very tight areas. Hardly enough room to extend slide. I would not stay here again. I am surprised about the Good Sam rating. The only positive I can take away is the deer. Every night we came in we saw lots of deer.

Overall, Summit was a really great experience. For families with kids, I compared it to a "pre-teen version of a Jellystone resort." There were SOOOO many activities for my monsters to enjoy: Tennis, volleyball (sand and water), tether ball, horseshoes, river access, pool(s), etc. One thing that cracks me up in GSC reviews are the number of complaints about WIFI access in parks. When I go camping, my goal is to get AWAY from "modern conveniences." HOWEVER, my kids appreciate their connectivity, and the WIFI at this resort was STELLAR. Not only were the monsters able to connect ALL of their devices, but the Roku we brought along for the TV connected and streamed with absolutely no problem (and we were probably the furthest campsite away from any of the resort entrances)! The bathroom facilities, particularly the newer ones nearest our campsite, were AMAZING. The cleanest, nicest, well kept restrooms with LOOOOOOADS of privacy in every aspect. They were seriously nicer than my bathroom in my stick house. If I could have rated the restrooms a 10, I totally would have. My only two negatives: 1) Despite mentioning my GSC membership on the telephone when making my reservation, and being told to "just bring my card with me on check-in, they had already run my credit card prior to my arrival, without the GSC discounted price, and wouldn't budge on this. In fact, I was told, "I needed that number when you called in for your reservation"...which is exactly the opposite of what I was told when making the reservation. 2) Not sure if the section of the park our spot was in was "newer" or not, but there was ZERO grass between the sites, and they were just a hair close (not close enough to slide out and pop out the awning, but still very close). The "pads" were not concrete, they were rough stone, and I would have loved to have stepped out of my camper in the morning with my coffee, barefoot, and had grass on my feet...but sadly, no grass, no trees, no nature...just rocks. Otherwise, this was a super great resort, lots of staff to take care of all park maintenance/upkeep (supervision), and their new cafe had some really, really tasty eats!

Chose this park, based on advertised amenity's and conditions. Lots of deer close by. Staff very friendly, pull thru was level and no mud. Park entry was a mess, as they are trying to recover from floods. Heated pools were not heated at least not year round, hot tub not working, even tried shuffleboard, but equipment was wrecked. Miniature golf fairways covered with leaves, pebbles, and deer droppings. Wifi was intermittent, cell phones worked 20% of time. neighbor was running motor-power washer all day. Water stopped during the night. Bathrooms were clean, however showers only had enough water pressure for one shower. I would not have chosen this place to spend time with kids if I would have know the truth about the park's condition. Amenities needed rehab.

We had a nice three days at The Summit. While others complained about wifi, we did not have any connection problems at all. Perhaps they have upgraded their wifi by now. The rv sites have new gravel and our site was level. Restrooms were very clean. Staff was pleasant and friendly. There are lots of activities in the park for families, especially in the summer, and San Antonio and New Braunfels are close for sightseeing.

WIFI Available FORGET IT!!! You are camping in a hole. Stayed 20 days had actual service twice. Office response "oh well we just had a change in ownership." So what. You advertise WIFI - provide it! I have also never seen such careless handling of my/your mail. Do not recommend having mail forwarded to you at this Resort. Great place for weekend family get away, but not for extended stays
