Best place to stay to visit the amazing "Valley of Fire" state park. 40 miles into Lake Mead Rec area from LV entrance but only 15 miles from Valley of Fire. On the turn in, do NOT go past the RV's - big rigs cannot turn around at end because the old marina is closed due to water drop in lake and barriers block turn. Quiet, remote, FHU. Save V of Fire self-pay receipt if you plan to exit to I-15 the next day. The road is part of the state park. Self check on east end but they do check payment on west end. Campgrounds in V of F park are FCFS making Echo Bay your best Rez.
