Dropped into Decorah on our way back from Chillicothe IL. We were looking for something different off the beaten path and where good fly fishing existed. We were actually headed to another campground when we came across Pulpit Rock. We pulled in and found the campground to be absolutely delightful. Well run, well managed and well maintained. Only electric hookup at site but water on site and dump station also. No problem when we arrived and left using the facilities to fill up with water on entry... Read More

Decorah is a great little town. Lots to see and do as well as plenty of great eating spots. Communications / Internet access is only possible if you are a Verizon user. AT&T and Sprint phone service is virtually unavailable for data services - phone works fine. We have a Verizon hot spot we carry as well and it worked great allowing us access to the internet. If you want to get away from the big city and drop into heaven we highly recommend a visit.

Average resort we chose for the location of where we were visiting as we were only staying one night. Closer to a camp site than a motor home resort but we knew that going in. Only had power at the site but we were able to get water and dump but had to wait in lines. Sites are gravel you should take precautions with the dirt/mud surrounding the site. The resort has basically no wireless access (as with the entire area and town!) so be aware that you will most likely be out of touch with the world.... Read More

Even our built in GPS (iPhones too) didn't connect for several miles driving out of tow. If your looking for a place to spend more time at, this is a nice place to go out and hike the area trails and close to a very nice little town.
