We stayed at this campground in conjunction with visiting friends near Augusta (who knew that Augusta had a CANAL!!!...wow, make sure you go see the old locks). This campground deserves to be a "destination" for the lake alone. Also, check out the stripers (read LARGE lake bass) mounted in the Ranger's check in office, wow: big fish. The camping spots are also fairly large and several are designed as "pull thru's." We always back in to maximize the view for our rear cabin and there is PLENTY of "view." We cannot recommend this campground more highly.
