This is a great state park in close proximity to Bloomington, Brown County and Nashville, IN. I you have a son or daughter at IU you can stay a few minutes away for much less than hotels in Bloomington, especially during game days. It has sites that are on Monroe Lake and sites in the shade. Beautiful area to stay during the changing of the colors of fall. A large number of people flock there to witness the beauty . We have stayed there many times and have not been disappointed. The sites are reservable on reserveamerica.com Take a look at site 153-154 for lake sites and site 202 for full sun and large grass area, sites 205-217 for full shade.
