We were less than pleased with this park. Firstly, I submitted a request for a booking via their website, a week before our intended arrival. I received a response telling me they definitely had availability, and to call to book. This was late at night, about 8:30pm, and the email stated they closed at 9pm. I left it until the following day to call. The lady on the phone asked my dates, which were mid-week, and immediately told me they were completely sold out. I mentioned the email I had received the night before, but she responded that they had simply booked up very fast. She didn't seem to pause to check for the dates, so I asked if she was sure, and she said yes. I decided to call again the following day, and was helped by another lady, who said they did indeed have my dates available, and made a reservation for me right there and then.
When we arrived, the staff were not overly friendly, seemed like they were having a bad day. We were told a man would escort us to our site & run us through the hookups etc. As we were driving through the park, it seemed like the man didn't know where he was taking us. He stopped outside of what we thought was our site, and came over to our vehicle and asked if we had already passed it (???). He drove off in the other direction to go inspect our site he said, then returned moments later and said it was the one we were stopped at. He apologized and said he had never pulled someone in to that spot before. He wanted to check the hookups before we pulled in, but he wasn't sure what connections were live or dead. My husband had to show him how to tell the difference. For the 2 nights we were there, there was many sites that seemed to be available- the one right next to us was never occupied at all.
Lots of giant big wasps/hornets around, so be careful if you are allergic. We couldn't enjoy outside of our trailer for this reason.
I kept an eye on old take out food trash that sat on the ground next to the dumpster for our whole stay- it was still there when we left.
The layout of the park was difficult- the pull-thru sites were from alternating sides, but both roads went in the same one-way direction, which made it seem impossible to make the hard angle turn to pull thru with a trailer or motorhome, if coming in from one of the roads, because it required you to do an almost-360. Very awkward.
I gave the facility rating a 2 because it has a fenced dog area for our favorite travel companions! It's nice to have an area to let them off leash for a run around, after they're confined to the trailer and leash the majority of their time.
We did not utilize any other amenities, so I cannot comment on those.
The appeal of this park is nice- close to freeways heading in all directions, nice shady sites, lots of amenities for families.
All in all, it seemed like the staff needed more training, and a re-focus on friendliness and helpfulness. Management also needs to look at that layout too, and put a little more into the upkeep of the property. Pride goes a long way.
I don't think we will stay here again.
