Well we are new rvers and I guess like others we got caught up in better expectations of RV Parks in general. Red Coconut looks great on paper but very crowded. You are on top of each other but they are close to beach so they get away with alot. Found it to be very over priced for what you get. Then again the appeal of the beach lets them do it. $600 a week for sitting on top of others, cable was very poor quality in fact Over The Air was very good and is HD. the cable is not. Internet is pathetic so make sure you have a carrier that provides you Hot Spot Capable or be disappointed with how poor Internet is. Had a very loud guest on the weekend that played music so everyone could hear it...All day before it ended...Guess we have to get used to this type of inconvenience if we plan to continue RVing. Could not swim in ocean due to Red Tide issues and park has no pool. So all in all first experience was debatable...Never return to Red Coconut that is for sure,,,,planned to stay 2 weeks but left after a week.....so make sure you only book the minimum and add on if you like a park as they do not provide any refunds for cancellation and leaving early......Guess ya have to learn as we move along....
Smaller units can park right on the beach. My unit is too large to fit on beach side but just a short walk across the street and we were on the beach. Sites are tight but you just cant beat the location! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Recurved my stay for 2020 and extended it. Can’t wait to return
We were so disappointed in this campground. You are smushed in like sardines. Had barely 6 inches on one side between campers. We were in site 2 which backs to the road. Very noisy! Bathrooms are in need of deep cleaning. Light bulbs don't match, ceiling fixture lights no cover, no bulbs, insulation hanging out. In the men's room there was throw up all over the place. You get all this for over $120 a night!! When talked to office help they didn't care..just gave a stare and went back to doing whatever on their computer. We have 2 tv's and they would not give us a 2nd cable box (you must give them $15 to use the box which you get back..you also give them $5 for bathroom key, you get this back also) The only redeeming factor is the beach. Sunsets are beautiful. We will never stay here again. Only people that are friendly is the other campers.
We love this place! We have been coming here for a few years and look forward to coming back as soon as we leave. I really cannot understand its current ratings as the staff, bathrooms, and the rest of the facilities are clean and well taken care of. You cannot beat this place for a spectacular vacation.
This camp ground was right on the beach. Very clean restrooms conveniently located for all campers. The maintenance staff was very helpful and friendly. They have a night time security guard that walks the grounds and can be reached by phone if needed. The electric was very good, I was able to run 30amp to rv and plug a 20amp extension cord so I could run nuwave electric appliances outside and not heat up the camper inside. The temps were in the high 80's to low 90's.
