Beautiful lake, great campsites, most with views of the lake. Need some overhanging branches trimmed, but perhaps that is being done while half of the park is closed. The confirmation, terms and a large sign at the office state check in starts at 3PM, and they enforce that, so plan accordingly. Camp hosts come and go, I didn't have any problems. They were helpful with information about attending Wurstfest in nearby New Braunfels. Bathhouse didn't seem to be cleaned at the same time every day, and the electricity in it was out a couple mornings, before the office was open.

Stayed three days in March of 2019. The park was great. Nice level specious sites, clean shower and rest rooms, beautiful lake. HOWEVER the camp hosts (2) were the rudest, most disrespectful I have ever encountered. I arrived 9 minutes before check-in and was told I could not even enter the park until 3 pm. Was instructed to turn around and wait outside the park for 9 minutes. The attitudes of the two camp hosts during my three day stay was totally uncalled for and diminished what normally would have been a great camping experience. I simply inquired about a mutually agreeable site change with another camper. Shame on these hosts. Thank goodness all camp hosts are not like these two. Happy trails.
