Welcome to the park!
To ensure the comfort and safety of our guests, please abide by the following rules:
Check-In Procedure - Campsite check-in 3pm. - Check-out 11am. - While each park attempts to accommodate your exact spot request, the on-site manager has the ultimate decision for spot placement. Quiet Hours - Quiet time is from 11 pm – 8 am. - Please be considerate of your neighbors. - No music, loud parties, loud talking, or any loud noises between these times. - No unnecessary noise before 7:30 am or after 11 pm. - If there is unnecessary noise during quiet times, please contact: (319) 465-4665 and leave a message. Registration -Campers & visitors must register upon arrival and pay appropriate fees. - Unregistered guests at your site will be asked to register or leave. - All your guests are your responsibility. Visitors & Guests - Visitors & guests must be registered at the office. - All visitors must leave the campground by 10:30 PM. Behavior Guidelines - Excessive noise, foul language, loud or obnoxious behavior is not permitted at any time. - Anyone creating a disturbance will be asked to leave the park without a refund. Daytime Music - Music is allowed during the day. - Please keep it at a considerate volume for other guests around you and while you are riding in golf carts. Children & Curfew - All children must be back to their sites by 11:00 pm on non-holiday weekends and 11:30 pm on holidays. - They must be accompanied by an adult at all times including in the restroom, at the playground and swimming pool areas. Speed Limit - Speed limit 5 mph. - Please drive slowly and carefully. - Any vehicle going over the speed limit will be asked to slow down. Vehicle Policy - No more than two cars per site. - Cars must be parked in driveway area of your campsite, not on the side of the road or in the grass. - Extra vehicle parking available. - Vehicles must have a car pass at campsite or extra parking. - Towing will occur to any vehicles that do not have a car pass. - Vehicle owners will be responsible for all towing charges. - All mopeds must be registered with the DOT. - Minibikes, ATV’s, etc. are not to be operated in the campground. Campfires - All Fires must be in fire rings only. - Never leave fires unattended. Pool Rules - Swim at your own risk. - No glass in pool area. - No running. - No horseplay. - No diving. - Kids 16 & under must be accompanied by an adult. - Bathe before entering pool. Trash - Please place trash bags out at the end of your site before 7pm for trash pickup. - Do not put trash in fire rings. - Leave site clean for the next campers. Electricity Use - There is no charge for air conditioners and electric heaters. - Air conditioners and electric heaters are permitted on a limited basis. - If at any time an a/c unit or electric heaters repeatedly trips breakers, you will be asked to stop using them. - Management reserves the right to lock your electric usage if the customer refuses to stop using a/c or electric heater usage after management has requested you to stop usage. Rental Golf Carts - Rental golf carts may only be operated by licensed drivers, 18 and over with a current, valid driver’s license, use lights at night. - A copy of all golf cart operators drivers licenses must be provided to the office in order to operate a golf cart. Personal Golf Carts - Personal golf carts may only be operated by licensed drivers,16 and over with a current, valid driver’s license, use lights at night. - A copy of golf cart insurance must be provided to the office in order to operate a golf cart. Laundry - Located on the side of bathhouse 1. - Always open. Alcoholic Beverages - Alcoholic beverages are permitted at sites only. - No alcoholic beverages will be permitted off site. - Excessive and underage drinking will not be tolerated. Pets - Only non aggressive dogs are allowed. - All pets must be leashed at all times. - There are no pets allowed in the restrooms. - All pets are to be kept on a leash and cleaned up after. - Loud, unnecessary barking will not be tolerated. - Pets are not to be left alone for long extended periods of time. - There is a fee for pets in rentals per stay. - No pets allowed in the Ranger Riverside Retreat. Fire - No fireworks allowed. - No firearms or fireworks permitted in the campground. - Campfires are only allowed in the fire rings. Firewood - Wood is sold at the office. - No out-of-state firewood is allowed on the campground. Gas - LP gas is sold at the office. Fishing - When fishing in the lake, the minimum size for bass is 13″ with a maximum of three (3) per site per day. Site Reservations & Rates - We will make every effort to reserve the site you request, but we cannot guarantee sites or cabins. - Rates are subject to change without notice. General Conduct & Policy - This is a family-oriented campground, and we reserve the right to refuse groups of teens or young adults not properly supervised. - Camping is an outdoor experience. - Therefore, we do not give refunds due to discomforts of nature. - General Rules & Conduct - All other common-sense rules apply. - Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park™ Monticello reserves the right to interpret or change all rules. - Liability Disclaimer - The park assumes no responsibility for accidents, injuries, or loss from any cause. activities & events - We schedule staff and plan activities based on the number of reservations. Fair Week - All guests must wear their day of the week wristbands at all times. - Anyone not wearing one will be asked to go to the office to purchase one. Property Entry Agreement - Entrance onto the campground property constitutes permission. Site - We only allow one camping unit per site. How to read Good Sam Ratings
The three-number rating that accompanies each campground listing in the directory gives readers an at-a-glance assessment of a campground's amenities, cleanliness and environment. All three ratings categories are measured on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the best. Less than 1 percent of parks or campgrounds receive the coveted 10 | 10 | 10 rating, which indicates superior facilities that are well maintained, clean, well-appointed restrooms and a highly appealing appearance. Campgrounds are inspected annually by dedicated RVers like you.
Completeness of facilities
The first campground rating evaluates completeness and quality of facilities. In this category we rate interior roads, sites, registration area, hookups, recreation, swimming, security, laundry, store and building maintenance.
Cleanliness of restrooms and showers
The second rating category concerns the cleanliness and physical characteristics of toilets, walls, showers, sinks/counters/mirrors and floor. If a park achieves a full point in each of the above, it receives a star ( ), indicating exceptionally clean restrooms.
Also rated are physical characteristics of restrooms, including interior construction, adequate supplies/odor free, adequate number of facilities, exterior appearance and location in relation to park spaces, and interior appearance.
Visual appeal and environmental quality
This category addresses the park's setting and site layout, function and identification of signage, overall exterior building maintenance, noise, trash disposal, litter and debris around the grounds and sites, and appearance of grounds, sites and entrance area.
