To ensure the comfort and safety of our guests, please abide by the following rules:

Registration and Arrival Check-In Procedure - Campsites Check-in time is 12:00 pm - Campsites Check-out time is 11:00 am ​- Rentals Check-in time is 3:00 pm ​- Rentals Check-out time is 10:00 am ​- Early Check-In: Complimentary if available. Call ahead to confirm—arrive as early as 8:00 am - Late Check-Out: Available for campsites only (subject to availability). - Stay until 3:00 P.M. for $15. - Speak with Guest Services on your departure day to confirm. - While each park attempts to accommodate your exact spot request, the on-site manager has the ultimate decision for spot placement. Minimum Reservation Requirements - Deposit: Required at the time of booking. - Full payment: 1-day reservations or any reservation booked 0-7 days before arrival. - Half-stay payment: Reservations for 2+ days booked more than 7 days before arrival. Site Number Guarantees - We guarantee your chosen site type and amenities, but your specific site number may change due to our automated optimization system. ​ Fees ​- Booking fee: $3 (non-refundable). - Site lock fee: Non-refundable and non-transferable. Minimum Stay Requirements ​- 1-night RV reservations: Accepted with exceptions. - Not available on some weekends. - Important: To accommodate more guests, we reserve the right to move 1-night reservations to a different site type. - The site you are moved to could be any available site, including a water/electric site without sewer. Holiday minimum Stays ​- 4 nights: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving. - 3 nights: Water/Electric sites for the same holidays. - Log Cabins: 3-night minimum for Christmas. Vehicle Policies - Log Cabins, Water & Electric Sites, and Small RV Sites: - 1 car max (no tow trailers or dollies). Payment Policies - The balance for your reservation is due 7 days before arrival. - If not pre-paid, we’ll charge the card on file for the remaining balance 7 days prior to arrival. - Example: Arriving on a Friday? Your balance will be charged on the Friday before. Wi-Fi - Connect to “AnvilCampground-Hotspot”, open a webpage, put in your code. - One code works per device. - Extra codes are available in our General Store or on the board in front of our General Store after hours. - Cannot access a webpage? Call us at 757-565-2300 with your device’s IP or MAC and we can manually connect you. Paved Lake Nature Trail - Open Dawn to dusk. - Managed by City of Williamsburg Parks & Rec. - Not Anvil’s property. - Kids must be accompanied by an adult. - Trailhead is across the street, be careful with traffic. - Explore at your own risk. Cabins & Cottages - All non-smoking units. - If you break this rule or any other in the separate rental agreement, we will be forced to charge the fee detailed in the rental agreement. - Just respect our property and our wishes. Site/Rental Inspection - Upon guest’s departure, we immediately inspect the site/rental. - Guests are responsible for leaving their site/rental clean/undamaged when departing. - Any issue may result in a charge to the account to satisfy the issue. - There are no refunds within 7 days of arrival. - Refunds after check-In: Used nights are non-refundable. - There are no refunds for early departure. Vehicles on the Property - Register all vehicles at check-in, all must have a parking pass or will be towed at owner’s expense. - Site fee includes 1 vehicle; extra are $10 each per night. Guests - Guests on the Property: Non-registered guests are trespassing. - Visitors and all other people on the property must register in the General Store. - Day passes are free overnight may incur charges. - Unreported guests will result in the entire party being asked to vacate the property without a refund. - Guests and Behavior: Anvil is a family campground; therefore the behavior of our guests must be representative of that environment. - Guests shall not disturb or offend others. - Guests are responsible for any property damage, accident, or injury to another guest or their property. - Alcoholic beverages must be consumed on the rented site/rental only and by persons of legal age of 21. Quiet Hours - Quiet hours 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. - Non-Smoking: All indoor/outdoor facilities of Anvil Campground are non-smoking. Speed Limit - Speed limit 3.2 MPH - 3.2 mph is a tribute to Jerry Jump, our father, his football jersey number was 32. - He is the co-founder of Anvil Campground in 1954 with our grandfather Ralph Jump. - He operated Anvil for over 50 years! Trash - No loose trash goes in our trash bins. - All trash is to be bagged, securely tied, and placed in an outdoor bin labeled on our map. - Trash that cannot be bagged please contact a staff member to see if we can accept it. Pet Policy - Owners are fully responsible for their pets. - At all times, pets must be supervised, promptly cleaned up after (clean up bag must be securely tied before placed in one of our trash cans), and be kept on a leash. - Pets in rentals must abide by our rental pet policy. Maintenance/Grounds - Anvil cannot prevent technical difficulties, acts of God, fire, or inclement weather; please notify Anvil immediately of any defective or non-working facilities, utilities, etc and every effort to repair will be made. Wood/Fires - Fire pits are not to be moved and no fire may be left unattended. - No firewood is permitted except wood that is sold in the General Store. - This follows the recommendation by the Virginia Department of Forestry to keep non-native insects and diseases from harming our local forests. Heated Pool/Playgrounds - Non-Smoking. - No pets in Beach Park or Heated Pool area. - Follow posted rules. - Pool hours are the same as current General Store hours. - No glass bottles. Free Game Room - No Pets. - Non-Smoking. - Follow posted rules. - Hours are same as the General Store. - Understand there is 24 hr surveillance that is automatically backed up to the cloud. - Any damage/theft will be handled appropriately and immediately. - No glass bottles. Children - Must be accompanied by an adult at all times. - Their behavior is the responsibility of the guardian. Emergency - Emergency contact numbers are located on the front door of the General Store. - These numbers are for emergencies only. - If it can wait until we open again, we appreciate your patients. Campground Disclaimer - Anvil Campground and staff are not responsible for any injury, loss, or claims for damage to property for guests or guests’ property resulting from fire, theft, accident, or any other causes. - Guests use our facilities at their own risk.

Refunds be given in accordance with the Cancellation Policy below: Spot2Nite booking fees are non-refundable.

STRICT If the guest cancels at least 1 week before your check-in day and time, they will receive a 50% refund (minus Spot2Nite convenience or resort fees). If the guest cancels within 1 week before check-in, there will be no refund.
