Paradise Shores was our 87th stop and we stayed for 14 nights as our base camp for Yosemite and surrounding area. The campground is small but has a nice vibe with dark skies and quiet. Check in was simple picking your card off the board and proceeding to your spot and the camp host was super nice as was the owner. A short walk to the reservoir where you can take a nice walk with the pup, kayak/paddle board, bird watch or enjoy the sunsets. And yes, there are a lot of May flies that are more annoying... Check in was simple picking your card off the board and proceeding to your spot and the camp host was super nice as was the owner. A short walk to the reservoir where you can take a nice walk with the pup, kayak/paddle board, bird watch or enjoy the sunsets. And yes, there are a lot of May flies that are more annoying than anything and beginning at dusk, some mosquitoes come out – come prepared with whatever you use as repellant. The sites are all gravel and a decent size (not sure anything over 40 feet would be an easy fit) and had to block pretty high in the front as we were on the lower level facing the reservoir. The service was 30 amp but had no issues with it or the other utilities. The two excellent things was that although the laundry facilities were small (2 washers and 2 dryers), was the cheapest we have paid at a park to date. And the WiFi was amazing and consistent. Connectivity midday: WiFi 245.0 down/266.0 up (that is correct!) T-Mobile 8.64 down/1.39 up Verizon 55.4 down/7.49 up. Would stay here again if in the area in the future.
