North Texas Camping Association The North Texas Camping Association (NTXCA) is a group of families from the North Texas area who enjoy camping. This Texas camping group started in January 2000. The purpose of The North Texas Camping Association is to provide the opportunity for family focused camping through group campouts approximately every month in various Texas State Parks, Corps of Engineer Parks, City Parks and private campgrounds. Texas Boomers RV Rally Group The Texas Boomers RV Rally Club operates under the general sponsorship of IRV2.com. The current Wagon Master is out of Cypress, Texas. There are three designated Texas Areas for Texas Boomers RV Rally Group: Southeast Texas, Texas Hill Country, and North Central Texas. This group invites new members to enjoy camping in Texas today! North Texas Camping Club The North Texas Camping Club expresses itself as a group of campers of all kinds (RV camping, tent camping or anything in between) who like to get together with other campers and have a great time. The North Texas Camping Club is a group of Gay & Lesbian campers who are always ready to jump in their "RV'S" and go, visiting different state parks and camp grounds around Texas. We meet at least once a month to have a good time with friends & family. Texas “Free Spirit” Camping Club Tired of all the run around when it comes time for a camping trip in your RV?D o you work all week and count down the time left before the weekend arrives so you can just get away and relax? Well Texas Free Spirit Camping Club thinks it’s the club for you. The “Texas Free Spirit Camping Club” is one of the first of its kind based in Houston, TX, primarily for weekend camping, and now accepting applications for memberships. Membership is limited to 25. Parents without Partners Camping Club Parents without Partners was founded for RV'ers that are single or divorced with children. This gives parents excellent opportunities to spend quality time, outdoors with their children. In fact several of the members of this club have ended up married. PWP also holds outings open to all. The Lone Star Caravaners RV Club, Houston The LSCC (generally) camps out the first full weekend of each month. We define this as the first Saturday and Sunday of each month. Campouts are typically scheduled from Thursday to Sunday. Streamline Royal Rovers, Houston Chapter Streamline Royal Rovers travel in a wide array of self-contained R.V. 's from small campers to large motor homes, but all their members are equal in fun, friendship and congeniality! Some of our chapters hold meetings once a month, throughout the year; some disband for the hot or cold weather, depending on the area; some only meet twice a year; some only get together for a meal at a restaurant. Whatever the chapter arrangement, we all make an effort to get to the once-a-year International Rally, where we can see old friends from all over, meet new ones, and where our Officers and Board of Directors conduct most of the business for the Organization for the year. We really are a great group! On the patio, at your local park, in the wild or on the road. How is it you prefer to cook? The Houston Outdoor Cooking Meetup Group welcomes every one who enjoys cooking. No matter anyone's ethnicity, religion, race, politics, or any other persuasion, we will all have one thing in common - and for our purposes it's the only thing that matters. The Greater Houston Grotto: A Caving Group Caving. Spelunking. Underground exploration. Whatever you want to call it, that's what this group of people love to do. And if you like the outdoors and have a bit of an adventurous spirit, you might like caving too. Officially, this group is called the Greater Houston Grotto, and they are a local branch of the National Speleological Society (NSS). As a group they try to study, explore, and conserve cave resources. So if you like to escape to the outdoors, learn new things, observe the beauty of nature, get a little exercise, meet new people, go exploring, have a little fun, and help to conserve our natural resources, consider contacting this group. We Hike DFW Get out and hike more! We Hike DFW is a group for those who need more outdoors in their lives and would like to meet others with similar interests. Group events center around hiking activities - day hikes, hike and camp weekends, hike and swim/canoe, backpacking trips, etc. Meet-ups may also include impromptu outdoors classes, trail maintenance weekends or outdoor-themed movies/presentations. We Hike DFW plans different types of hiking events, both near and far, ranging from easy to strenuous, from day hikes to multi-day excursions. The group’s main purpose is to build a larger community of hikers in the Dallas, Ft Worth and Arlington areas and have fun while we're doing it. We do this by exploring the natural beauty of Texas and beyond while introducing you to people with similar interests. See you on the trail! Dallas Outdoor & Adventure Enthusiasts Club, Garland TX Dallas Wild Life is a group of easy-going people who love getting away from Dallas in addition to participating in tons of outdoors activities such as camping, backpacking, and hiking. This group’s favorite destinations include Cedar Ridge Nature Preserve, the Spring Creek Forest Preserve, Turner Falls, OK, Beaver's Bend, AR, Colorado Bend State Park, the Comal River in New Braunfels, the Guadalupe River in Gruene, Lost Maples State Park, Krause Springs/Pedernales Falls State Park in Austin, Hamilton Pool, and Zilker Park. Favorite activities amongst this Texas outdoor group include hiking, backpacking, creek walking, canoeing, visiting caves, camping, and rock climbing! Most of ours favorite local hikes include spring water and forested trails! Hill Country Hikers The DFW area is right on the edge of the "Texas Hill Country". This area has a variety of hiking Venues that offer unspoiled nature, scenic vistas and more than a little bit of a challenge. So whether your thing is "a stroll through nature" or a heart-pounding trek up and down some hilly terrain or burning up the trail at break-neck speeds, or photographing the wildlife—Hill Country Hiker’s has got it! And, besides that, "Hill Country Hikers" is just such a cool name. The Dallas Backpackers and Hikers Meetup Group This group is for people who enjoy spending time outdoors, particularly in the form of hiking and backpacking (as the name suggests!). But this group is also for anyone who enjoys socializing with others who share the same passions for being outdoors and seeing new things, be they near as a Dallas day-hike or as far as a mountain trip on the other side of the continent. The Dallas Backpackers and Hikers group provides a forum for people of all experience levels and areas of interest. Whether you solo-climb at 8,000 meters or don't yet know the difference between a backpack and a daypack, you will find a welcome and camaraderie here. The format of this group is not very strict - we discuss ideas at our meetings and the members themselves shape future trips. This group is successful because of its members and their participation. All of the above groups welcome new members, whether you’re from Texas originally, visiting for a few months or just passing through for a weekend.
