One Tank Trip for New Hampshire Camping

Long and lean, New Hampshire supplies enough year-round appeal to rival some of the larger states. From beautiful, majestic beaches to mountainous regions and metropolitan areas, all surrounded by that famous New England countryside. New Hampshire can fulfill all of your getaway expectations and more. Let's start our one tank trip in Wolfeboro. Located on the eastern shores of Lake Winnipesaukee, Wolfeboro is touted as the “Four Seasons Getaway” and is the oldest summer resort in America. Visitors here will enjoy the peace and quiet of beautiful Lake Winnipesaukee, a huge array of water sports including swimming, fishing, and boating. Also available are antique boat rides on the lake - what better way to enjoy all of the amazing, pristine beauty? Let's move on to our next New Hampshire RV camping location, Tamworth. Take NH-28 N out of Wolfeboro, and merge left onto NH-16 S. After several miles, merge left again onto NH-25 W, taking a right at NH-113 E. Tamworth enjoys a steady stream of visitors due to its location at the base of the White Mountains. There are hundreds of miles of trails for biking, and thousands of miles for hiking, ranging from simple walks in the woods to challenging mountaineering opportunities, all the while surrounded by indescribable beauty. The winter months bring even more outdoor recreation including snowshoeing, alpine and cross country skiing. Now matter what time of year you visit, you'll find more than enough to challenge and delight! Our next New Hampshire RV camping location takes us back to US-113 N to the town of Conway. Keeping up the pace we started in Tamworth, Conway is a great place to continue your need for all things outdoors. Yet more hiking and skiing is available here. If you need a break from your non-stop outdoor fun, take a drive on the Kancamagus Highway. Definitely one of New England's most superb drives, you will be treated to majestic views, especially if you're lucky enough to drive through during fall. For our next one tank trip stop, we're heading to North Conway. Sitting just 6 miles up NH-16 N from Conway, travelers to this charming town will find a wealth of shopping opportunities at the large collection of outlet stores. For the train enthusiast, you don't want to pass up the chance to climb aboard one of the steam or diesel trains that depart from an 1874 Victorian Station. Just imagine what a memorable experience it would be, taking this ride in the fall when the fall foliage is at its most brilliant. We continue on NH-16 N for less than an hour to reach our next and final New Hampshire RV camping destination, Gorham. For decades this scenic beauty has been welcoming visitors from across the state (and beyond) who come for the feast of outdoor recreation, such as rock climbing, hiking, kayaking, canoeing, fishing and hunting. Whether you're looking to relax and take it easy, or to exhaust yourself with activities, Gorham will never disappoint. Within it's slender borders, New Hampshire is a vacation wonderland full of rugged outdoor beauty and New England charm. New Hampshire has so much beauty and recreation to offer, that it easily becomes one of the East Coast's Top 10 places to vacation.
