One Tank Trip for Quebec Camping

World renowned for its exceptional beauty, Quebec is a province steeped in tradition and history – a place where the past and the present are beautifully entwined, creating a destination filled with a European flair all its own. Starting our one tank trip off in Quebec City, you’ve got your choice of world-class museums, filled with art and sculpture ranging from classic to modern. This is one of the most romantic cities in the world, with a definite European flavor that is reminiscent of Paris or Prague. Take a river cruise down the St. Lawrence Seaway, or sample some exquisite cuisine at any of the five-star restaurants here in Quebec City. Heading north on Route 138, you’ll drive along 13 miles of Quebec’s scenic route until you come to your next Quebec RV camping stop, L’Ange-Gardien. This predominantly French-speaking community is a winter wonderland during the latter part of the year, resembling many towns in the French Alps. The rest of the time, it is home to some of the most picture-postcard scenery you’ll find anywhere. The Du Lievre River runs through the city, providing opportunities for fishing and kayaking, and local wineries provide excellent vintages to please even the most discriminating palates. From here, it’s onward to our next Quebec RV camping stop, Ste-Anne-De-Beaupre, which awaits you 10 miles further north on Route 138. The sanctuary here is the site of the oldest pilgrimage in all of North America, and is a magnificent place to tour, regardless of religious affiliation. The Gothic architecture is positively eye-popping, and is surrounded by some of the greenest, most lush terrain to be found in Quebec. Continuing our one tank trip go north on Route 138 for another 3 miles brings you to Saint-Ferreol-les-Neiges, one of Quebec’s fantastic skiing villages. Many world-champion skiers come to this area to practice, but don’t worry – there are courses ranging from the bunny runs to serious downhill slopes. In spring and summer, rent a bicycle and pedal through this charming French countryside village. Take a picnic lunch and savor some fine, locally produced wine and cheese in a soft green meadow, or just enjoy the embrace of Mother Nature from your campsite and revel in the absolute tranquility this town provides.
